  1. We were on the Getaway in an aft balcony on deck 9 last May. We noticed no vibrations at all, and no ambient noise from Spice H20. The only problem we had with noise was one night when they were teaching a dance class below us in the theater. Loved the cabin so much we booked it again for our honeymoon cruise. I highly recommend it.

  2. Quick question here. Most of the reviews and comments I have read here regarding what time to get to the port have been people trying to get in the first boarding groups in order to get onboard as early as possible, in many cases to secure Vibe passes. I'm not going to be trying for those, so what I'd like to do is arrive at the port where there will be the least waiting around time. Any thoughts on what would be a good time to arrive?

(And if the answer is it doesn't really matter, you're going to have an hour or more waiting from the time you check-in to the time you board, that's fine too, just would like to know that in advance.)

    Thanks for your suggestions!

  3. First post here, so hope I'm posting in the right place!

My fiancé and I are working on planning our honeymoon cruise on Getaway next May. I've been reading and searching the boards and have found some great information here.

This will be my fourth cruise on NCL and my fiancé's first cruise ever. But my previous cruises were all on the Majesty, which had no balconies and was a much smaller ship, so I'm floundering a bit when it comes to figuring out rooms on the Getaway. I am a little confused about balcony size on some of the different room categories, so I'm hoping you guys can help me with some clarification.

We definitely want a balcony. I'm seeing a lot of posts here saying that the only significant difference between the Balcony rooms and Mini Suites is the size of the bathroom. That really doesn't matter much to us, but the size of the balcony might be worth the money to upgrade. I know that the regular balconies are small. I know that some of the large balconies have enough space for a lounger. And I know that some of the balcony rooms are angled, giving a little extra space.

But I'm not necessarily clear on the difference between the sizes of the balconies in the following categories:

    MX (Mini Suite with Balcony)

M6 (Mini Suite with Large Balcony)

M1 (Aft Facing Mini Suite with Large Balcony)

    B1 (Aft Facing Large Balcony)

    B6 (Large Balcony)

    BC, BD, BX (Balcony)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
