Was that OBC that you purchased?
No it came with the purchase of our balcony cabin. Our first time with a balcony, we've only ever had a ocean view before.

I don't think that purchased OBC shows up in the Cruise Planner. Ken will know for sure.
I have $100 OBC and it shows up when I log in as a pop up window

The tips are spread farther than just your room stewards. Many people behind the scenes also benefit from the gratuities.

Now that you are home, most of these travel companies are very sensitive to social media posts like twitter, FB, or Instagram and will jump on a reply.

The 2 beaches in Key West are public beaches and open to anyone. Smathers beach and Ft Zachary Taylor are in Key West. Ft. Zachary Taylor is definitely walking distance and the cost is $2 or less. Or for fun rent a scooter for the day.

I did a cruise across the Pacific in September 2017 on the Noordam. If you get the chance to book the behind the scenes tour, do it. At the time I thought it was pricey ($150). It was an all day tour of the bridge, Engine control room, crew spaces, costume room, liquor locker, laundry, tailor shop, garbage room, watertight doors, galley, dining rooms, and so much more. Each person/ couple got a picture with the Captain. The time to sign up is ASAP. You won't regret it.

I just did a 39 day cruise at $12.50 per person per day. The crew works very hard and long hours. They always had a smile and deserve every cent.
This was on HAL but think most cruise ships are similar.
This cost needs to be figured into the cost of the cruise.

We just did a HAL cruise. People that embarked in Honolulu with a midnight departure, had to be aboard do to the 4pm drill.
Folks that boarded in Vancouver or San Diego were not required to attend.
It's possible you could do the drill, and then go ashore and be back by the all aboard time.

We went to Playa Azul. Taxi ride was safe and only a few minutes. Places to eat and drink on the beach. Jet skis and parasail were nearby.

We went there a few years ago. I ordered a map online. All of the tourist places were near the pier and south. We went north to Playa Azul. It was not such a tourist place. Great beach.
A few blocks in from the pier it seemed pretty gritty and I'm not sure it would be a great place to go.

Our obstructed room is on the Promenade deck which is where the lifeboats are stowed.

We used regtours. He lived in Miami for many years and his tour was top notch. His current price is $45 in advance. Check out his website. regtourbz dot com.

I just retired in August. Headed out for a 39 day cruise from the US to NZ. I have been seriously looking when to retire for the last 5 years. Running the numbers and trying to find out about Social Security, pensions, medical care and everything these has been like drinking from a fire hydrant.

We will be on the Infinity which stops at the Keys. We want to do a tour, but all that seems to be offered is a 1 1/2 walking tour. Is that worth booking, or would we see more on a trolley hop on/off type tour, which is not offered by Celebrity. I would have to book that online, I guess. We are not looking for any water-type activities, or even too much walking since we are elderly! Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.
I've been to Key West 5 times and the trolley is very easy to book just as a walk up. They offer hop on off and a tour as well. Only a block from where the ship docks.

Kazu, there are 4 of use going on the MS NOORDAM, departing San Diego on September 29, 2016 for a 39 day cruise to the South Pacific. We get off the ship in Auckland, NZ on November 8. This is our first HAL cruise.
