  1. Thank you all for these replies! It’s great to hear they seem to be the very same as onboard.  Next purchase for us I think and at a good price.  Pillows may be expensive as you said but worth it.

    Appreciate this info, truly.

  2. Hello fellow Cunard lovers

We came off QE on Friday and loved the mattress and pillows. We have all the details to purchase one and the pillows details from the purser but after reading posts from 2013/2016 wondered if anyone has bought one and found it the same?

I took photo of the mattress but the pictures of the mattress for sale are different.  Any views would be very gratefully received (especially if you have one!)
    Thank you!

  3. Hi, I saw a thread stating that dancing classes were more common (beginners) on Cunard now and some packed their tap shoes. Cunard have said there will be lessons in dancing and to bring them as there’s unlimited luggage, but that it’s not yet decided what dance styles classes are in (I’m hoping ballroom for one at least !).  Anyone know if it’s worth bringing tap shoes please?  (For summer staycation cruises).  Thank you!

  4. New2crusin,

Could you please share how you organised your taxi and tickets? We are going very soon and I'm very keen to copy your idea! Thanks for sharing it!

    Another view....

We wanted to climb the tower at Pisa, so our driver encouraged us to reserve the earliest tickets (9:00 I think?) that we could.

He picked us up at the pier around 8, got us to Pisa by 8:45, and walked us to the front of the line to get us into the Leaning Tower at 9.

This avoided the much longer lines layter in the day s the cruise ship busses start arriving.

We had about 90 minutes for for the tower, pictures, as snack, and solme souvneir shopping. We were on the road to Florence before the busses arrived!

We even stopped at the American Soldier Cemetary on the way to Florence and had plenty of time in Florence to see "The David" statue, the Duomo, the Baptistry, and shopping on the Ponte Vecchio.

We really fit a lot in by getting an early start and traveling in a small group.

This left us plenty of time to get back to the ship before 5.
