We are on Navigator next week out of Miami and I am not worried, but am a little anxious about our July cruise on Rhapsody out of Venice getting canceled. It's been a bit of an albatross, first with Venice deciding to close the port to future cruises and now this. Oy. Fingers crossed!
Would probably start looking into cancellations for the Venice cruise

Can confirm, if in Airplane mode none of the apps will be searching for cell service.

On the NCL site it says this
"ARE ANY MENU ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGES?
All Specialty Restaurant menu items are included except Seafood Platter in Raw Bar. Premium menu item upcharges may apply. Additional entrée charges may apply.
For Food Republic, Pincho, Sushi and Wasabi, an SDP meal includes 4 menu items."
Does that mean the Free at Sea SDP only has 4 items at the restaurants?

Here is a video of the drive in on the South Klondike highway.
Question for anyone who has done this drive, is a suv needed or are the roads pretty good all the way up to the lake?

Summer time and northern/western Europe is the best

And in the last few years Carnival has raised and donated over $8 Million for St Jude's Children Hospital .... NCL and RCL? Not a nickle.
Maybe these 2 companies can learn from Carnival's humanitarian efforts and generosity shown on a daily basis.
Royal has raised far more money for other programs and done many other relief efforts for smaller countries effected by natural disasters

Just take the shuttle to the bars, look for Rudy on the main street. He can get you anything you want lol

Not NCL, but I still can't believe this happened - I was on a NASCAR fan cruise and the ship ran out of beer on the second day and had to wait until we got to port in Nassau to restock! A lot of unhappy passengers...
You mean they just ran out of bud light

Which makes total sense! I've been on all three and would rank Royal substantially above Carnival and Celebrity substantially above Royal.
I've never been on Disney.

I would agree with the first part, haven't been on Celebrity to agree with the 2nd part

Disney is a five star cruise line. As a reference point, RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival are 4 star. Certainly the entertainment is different and you are with the Disney characters. Disney cruises have fireworks every night (just like when you stay on property). Disney does rotational dining where you (and your wait staff) rotate to different dining rooms every night. They have a wonderful kids program. Each cabin has a tub. All that said, I think it is overrated.

I would think Carnival would be a 3 or 3 1/2 star

eat drink sleep and repeat...... and gamble

Carnival Plat cruiser here and I am looking to start sailing more with NCL and MSC, will keep carnival for the cheap ones out of Long Beach. Carnival has been turning into literally a Carnival
-
The outline of the ship is beautiful, the back of it is a little weird looking. But overall looks like MSC is really stepping there game up with their new ships
-
Read some of the many books written by Carnival employees. Most of them think us hideous just for taking the cruise.
LOL please explain further
-
People are weird who think the staff want to be your friends off the ship. Would you want your friends in real life serving you food and drinks on a ship for a week?
-
On Carnival you could really wear whatever you want any night, Ive seen it all. But keep it simple polo/pants dress shirt/dress pants and tie
-
carnival nickel and dimming again

And you can go to the Royal Caribbean board and read the same complaints  Yes, entertainment is better. No, the food is NOT better to most that sail both lines without bias. Carnival does MUCH better with their included options than Royal does. You cant even compare to that frozen garbage they serve at Sorrentos to a fresh made Carnival pizza. Royals included Windjammer burgers are horrid, their desserts are also about 100% gelatin crap too. The MDR is a tie to me and the Windjammer is a little better than Carnivals Lido Marketplace. Carnivals steakhouses blow Chops out of the water. Period.
We can agree to disagree on that one then
-
I would recommend RCCL, their food and entertainment is better and the prices are not that much different
-
Best perk of being platinum is boarding early and quicker line at the cust service desk. Other than that we don't really feel like we get extra perks

One of my In-laws work at a high end property on the Las Vegas Strip and after hearing some of the stories we now bring our own sheets with us wherever we go and we normally stay at Marriott properties.

Hoping they come to the west coast

They are most likely going to have to postpone their honeymoon and possibly even their wedding.
