I'm happy to see this thread, as I am doing the same cruise in January. I'm looking forward to following along.

It's a shame you had to miss Montevideo, I hope that you will be able to make it to the Falkland Islands.

We were in R227 in June, and the cabin did not sleep 4 people. On the deck plan it appears that both R226 and R227 only hold 2. It was a great cabin, quite roomy.

I have just booked my first cruise on the Jade departing Venice June 13. I have travelled solo before, but never been on a cruise, so am a bit nervous, but looking forward to it. I am pleased to hear about the solo gatherings on the Jade, as the roll call for the cruise is not very active.
