  1. From information received only IONA &. ARVIA have PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABINS. My cabin on ARCADIA is listed as a Large cabin. No PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABINS on AURORA, BRITANNIA, VENTURA. AZURA. So it’s all to do with EVACUATING CHAIRS and storage off Wheelchairs & Mobility Scooters, & cabins big enough to Manoeuvre Wheelchair & Mobility Scooter around. Take your pick. MY OPINION. Derek
  2. 55. Cabins on ARVIA AS BEST AS I COULD GET NO PLUGS WHATEVER THEY ARE.
  3. 55 on IONA &. 55 on ARVIA. Take out PARTIALLY ADAPTED 15. Will try and print cabin numbers.
  4. Not necessarily as I have two cruises booked on ARCADIA In Partially Adapted cabins for 2025. Also had an email from PO stating that PARTIALLY ADAPTED cabins are okay to use, will try to add email. Derek
  5. I’m not sure why my two cruises have been cancelled, both in Partially Adapted cabins Iona & Arvia. ,Questinare filled in for both cruises do you need Mobility Scooter to get about cabin my answer was NO. They have not stated as off now, if evacuation chairs are not available. Still waiting for Email confirming that is so. l’m sailing on Britannia tomorrow so will make enquires when I get onboard about both my cancelled cruises. Derek.
  6. I had already booked ARCADIA so they are not replacements. I'M a DIAMOND passenger on CUNARD so it might be worth me contacting them to see what the new rule means to them. P.O. ASSITANCE should contact me about the two cruises with ALTERNATIVE SUGGESTIONS.
  7. ONLY PAID A DEPOSIT STILL WAITING FOR ALTERNATIVE CRUISE FROM THEM, FILLED IN NEW PAPERWORK.
  8. Will look for other CRUISE LINES now, always book four a year so only have two booked for next year on ARCADIA. IN PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABINS. So looking for JANUARY and APRIL. DEREK.
  9. The cruise was booked JANUARY 2024.NEW POLICY STOPPED ME ON THE IONA CRUISE AND ONE ON THE ARVIA. NOTHING AVAILABLE WITH P.O.
  10. PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABINS new law SEPTEMBER 3RD, From what I am guessing they are saying some PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABINS are too small to MANOUVER AROUND with a Mobility Scooter even when filling in the QUESTINARE YOU HAVE STATED YOU DO NOT NEED THE MOBILITY SCOOTER TO GET AROUND CABIN. But you will still not be allowed onboard. I tried to book ARCADIA today but was told no cabins Available or Evacuation chairs.
  11. From information received it’s more to do with EVACUATION CHAIRS they have only a few available ( trying to find out how many). Have tried to book ARCADIA for April 20th 2025 all full. So will have to look for different cruise company for Partially adapted cabins. Will look for cruises in 2026. Derek.
  12. If a Passenger is booked into a PARTIALLY ADAPTED CABIN then a Maritime law makes a change. In respect to say if you need the scooter to get around the cabin you cannot use it. But the passenger doesn’t need the scooter to get around the cabin, as he only needs it for distance walking. Can the new law be emended to say this for passengers in that predicament. I would be grateful if you have an answer for me. Derek Reginald Tutt 85 years of age.
  13. I booked a cruise onboard Iona for 35 days in a Disability Cabin which was PARTIALLY ADAPTED, but has the same door width and bathroom as an Accessible cabin. Now had email stating if I’m a FULL TIME MOBILITY SCOOTER USER I cannot use it. I’m not a full time user I do walk with one or two crutches. I do not need to use my Scooter to get around the cabin like the new law is saying, so how do I go about having this law amended for the likes of me. Derek.
