    Same for us.

I just looked at our statement from our April cruise (3 star folks, 25% discount) and we paid $25.45 a bottle (tip included) per bottle.  That's package #1, 8 bottles.

We look forward to our 4th star next cruise and the price dropping further.....50% off.

Our younger days of fetching and dragging and paying corkage are over.

    Savor the journey.......

This will be our 2nd HA cruise coming up and I was looking at ordering a wine package. Can you tell me if the bottles are delivered to our cabin or if they are kept chilled and we access them only at the MDR or speciality restaurants. Thanks so much for any input you can provide.

  2. I tried unsuccessfully for weeks to try and add the HIA package to our trip coming up on the 25th. After many attempts watching the wheel spin and spin and then finally getting the "Ineligible" message I decided to call today. Within 10 minutes I was through and was able to book it.

I have seen this type of offer before from land based casinos, but never on HAL.  Of course it could be that due to your home location.  I would think it is legit, but be sure to understand the  restrictions on the offer (does not include taxes, port fees and tips and likely is for an Inside cabin in a guarantee location).  Most cruiselines LOVE to get gamblers onboard, as they know they will likely make money from them.

Ok thanks for the info. I will definitely check out the restrictions. We are not big gamblers at all so I was very surprised by the email.

  4. Does anyone have experience with receiving an offer directly from your local casino. I just received an email from our local casino here in BC, stating I was able to pick up a "Sail and Play Cruise Certificate" from Holland America at their guest services desk next week.

We have never sailed with them and I don't see anything listed on my account page when I log onto the site. Just wondering if its a scam and not to waste my time going there.

    Thanks so much

Sign in to the princess website and click on Captains Circle. Click on future cruise credits and it will show casino offers and when the deadline to book is. It also shows if you have applied it to a current booking.

    Great thanks so much.

  6. I received my first casino offer via email this year but couldn't use it since I was on another cruise. It wasn't free but a very good deal, not much of a gambler on board.  I contacted my TA and at first he didn't see the offer until I told him it was a casino offer and then he said he could see it. Is there anywhere on the Princess website that shows these offers or do I have to wait and see if I receive another email.

    Thanks for any help

I tried to use my Switch Health rapid antigen tests this morning and it was a total nightmare. The QR code came up “this code has already been used!”  Did anyone else experience this? (I have booked rapid antigen tests at an in person site this evening but the Switch tests were a waste of money for us.)

So sorry to hear that. The 4 of us did our tests last night with no issues at all.

From what I understand,  https://rapidtestandtrace.ca/product/observed-test-for-travel/ will accept any Health Canada approved Antigen test (check with your local pharmacy - here in BC, those 40+ can get a 5 pack for free when you show your pharmacist your BC Care Card). It's through Webcam, so you can take the test anywhere in the world - you just need the testing kit.  At the end, they will email you the certificate of proof you need.  Cost: $35 CAD, plus the cost of the test.  The company offers a 2 pack of tests for $20 and $45-$50 for a 5 pack.

    Hope this is helpful.

I'm hoping this is the case for our upcoming cruise leaving Vancouver on May 1st. I have the free rapid tests but I was getting hung up on the fact they need to be FDA approved.

I booked through "TEMSCO Skagway Dog Sledding and Glacier Flightseeing" by Helicopter.

TEMSCO also offers Glacier Landing Tours only.

The Dog Sledding and Glacier Flightseeing can also be booked through tour companies.

    Awesome thanks so much.

As @Missymo said it is a helicopter that takes you to the top of the glacier.  Guiding or driving the sled dogs is an option; it is not required.  My wife chose to ride the whole time while our daughter and myself took the opportunity to drive the dogs when offered.  Lots of fun.  iI is not the cheapest excursion around but a good bucket list item.  We did it as a DIY excursion and saved some money over the ship excursion.

Can you tell me who you booked through?  We are going in May and it has always been on my daughter's bucket list to go dog sledding

  11. We just received word from RC that our cruise will no longer be going to Hilo, so they added an extra day in Lahaina, Maui. This is a tendered port and we decided to make the most out of the 1st day and drive to Hana.

I am wondering if there is a cut off time for the tender boats going back to the ship? I have researched some threads but see conflicting answers.

    Thank you

  12. Boarding Radiance to Hawaii next Friday. Glad to hear of this change just in time for my cruise!

We are on this cruise too. First cruise we are not flying into the departure port so this will be convenient for us for this trip. I like to have cold bottles of water ready for our port days and bottles of coke since we are not fans of fountain soda. It's a shame we can no longer check it with our baggage but we don't buy a huge case of drinks, just a few, so we will be fine with carrying on.

We did prepurchase bottled water on Princess but it was quite reasonably priced and it was smaller individual sizes.

  13. We used it on our RC cruise. We put underwear, shirts (including polo), shorts and PJ's in the bag, we really stuffed it. It is all washed in hot water and super hot dryer so items could shrink. We didn't have anything ruined and no colors faded, we had a fix of whites and darks in the bag.
