  1. Just wondering when it starts to get into warmer temperatures out of NYC in the Winter? I'm sailing on the NYE cruise and can't imagine the first sea day to be a warm one? Anyone with experience on this would be much appreciated. TIA :D

Previously I have travelled on thanksgiving week and it starts getting warmer by 2nd day afternoon.

  2. Technically no, but there is a way around it. On our last cruise we did this...

Two cabins, two people in each.

My cabin was set up with both of us on my CC, we had $325 OBC

Other cabin was set up with each occupant on a different CC, the person in question had $25 OBC.

We went to guest services once on the ship and had them combine the accounts (mine for two people and his for one) and all charges and OBC were put into a single account. We did set it up so that all charges went on his CC, but on the last day I went down and paid our share of the bill with my CC and all was well.

All the rooms will be on CC. So can I ask guest services to move OBC to my account?

  3. Sure. Download the iConcierge app once you get on board. By the end of the first day your ship account will begin to show any promotional OBCs. The non-refundable amount will have its own line near the balance. Any purchases you make or drink taxes while in port will start coming from this non-refundable amount but the service charges will post as a balance due.

Once the casino opens go to a slot machine and insert your room card. It gives you the option to load money directly to your player bank through your ship account at a 3% convenience charge. I loaded the amount and confirmed through the app that the amount deducted from the non-refundable amount and did not post as a balance.

I played the slots on and off for a few hours and eventually cashed out of the machine which gives you a ticket you take to the casino cage for cash. What you do with the cash is up to you.

    Thanks. Appreciate you help.

  4. LOL...are you serious? Numerous people on here said it worked for them and you give this same tired excuse every time. I just did it 6 days ago.

It is quite easy to determine what happened considering the iConcierge app allows you to check your account by the minute if you so desire plus it also itemizes any non-refundable amounts still available along with the current balance. I used it on the morning of day 2 when the only thing posted to my account were the DSCs leaving the full amount of the non-refundable OBC unspent and itemized as such. I loaded money on the slots in the casino and when the charge hit it sent the OBC to $0 with no change to the balance on the account.

Simply, it was the first charge I made and it used the OBC.

Learn something instead of thinking no one else but you is smart enough to manage their on-board account.

Can you share... how this can be done.. I am taking my in-laws on cruise. By this way if I can save money then it will be helpful.

  5. Hi,

I am cruising with my 1-year-old daughter on breakaway next month, she still doesn't eat solid foods yet and we need to blend the food into puree to feed her. Is carrying a mini blender allowed in Breakaway.

I have searched the forum and all the posts related to this topic is very old. I am not sure about the latest rules and restrictions about carrying a mini blender.

    thanks in advance.

Puerto Rico is another good option if you can fly. all you need is a photo ID(valid driving license or valid passport) for airlines. No customs or immigration as PR is part of USA. you have beautiful beaches there too... Make sure if you visit any islands.... it is part of USA not UK... because some islands around PR are USA's and some UK's.

  7. Hi,

I will be cruising on breakaway with my in laws who are vegeterian. Is there any option of indian vegeterian food during dinner and lunch on breakaway?

I have been on carnival splendor and they use to have vegeterian indian food for dinner on menu in MDR and in buffet for lunch.

Checking if same applies to Breakaway too?

    regards

  8. It is in the small print on your boarding pass. "Print luggage tags". Opens up a link to the tags.

If you can't find them, no big deal. Just have the baggage person attach one for you. They have them there and will put your cabin number on them.

great help. got it perfectly where you mentioned. appreciate it.:)
