We have used a full face mask (different brand) a few times. We love it! We aren’t experienced at snorkeling but we loved them. So much easier than a traditional mask and snorkel.

We bought Tribord. We haven't tried any other brand but we are happy with ours.

These masks are fabulous!
I never had much success with a traditional snorkel and mask.
These are so easy to use.

I did the private dune buggy tour with them last year (I think it was the .net site. Frank was who I met/paid and introduced us to our guide for the day).
We had a great day. Our guide had a general outline for the day but told us if we wanted to add/change anything to just let him know. We just went with his plan.
Our dune buggy was not in the best shape but it got us around the island and was a lot of fun. There was a cooler of beer and water in the back. We were a private tour so we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each spot (we passed long lines of other dune buggies and jeeps - the private tour suited us much better).
One thing to be aware of is that in the info we received it stated that you could drive or the guide would drive you. When we got there, they told me one of us would have to drive until the first stop. Luckily my friend who was with me can drive a stick.

I did this tour last year while on a Disney Cruise and really liked it. It is a private tour but you meet your guide inside the port gates. You stop at several places (a fresh fruit stand, a street vendor for bread fruit and fish, a street vendor for coconut jelly, a local lunch spot for beef patties, a bar/restaurant for jerk chicken, and desserts in a courtyard of a house--I am probably leaving things out). Since it was a walking tour, I felt like it gave me a good feel for the area. Our guide was excellent; she told us the history of the area and was very open to questions.

We have her booked for our excursion in Sept.
I am glad to hear all the positive reviews.
I know we want to go to Maho Beach, The Yoda Guy shop, and Serafina's.
What else is "not to be missed" that we should request?

Of course, I am too late to be of any help for you but maybe my experience will help someone else searching the forums....
We used Jose for a private excursion to the Howler Monkey Sanctuary and the zoo in Nov. It included lunch. It was a great day! Jose was a great guide and very personable. He not only told us about the animals but also about the history of his country as we traveled from place to place. I would not hesitate to book with him again.

We were on the same sailing. It was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. I think it will probably be our last. Your review was spot on. The service I was expecting was just not there. Our server in the main dining room was very nice but the assistant could best be described as surly. We saw our room attendant three times. We asked for extra towels once and were told he would have to ask his supervisor. We ordered room service twice and it never came either time. We never felt like anything was very clean. We saw a few things that were in need of repair. We did not like the food or lack of service in the Windjammer. We always drank water because we soon learned that everything else would be warm. I had bought the Royal Replenish package (soda, bottled water, fresh squeezed juice, etc) but it was a hassle to use. I spent $109 for the package and got 2 sodas, 3 bottles of water, and two coffees. After reading about the Quest online, I was really disappointed it was not offered on our cruise.
We did have a fabulous time in the ports but we booked private excursions. The tendering process on Liberty was ridiculous. When I have tendered before the process was much quicker and smoother.

Noobie question--
We are cruising on Liberty of the Seas Nov.8.
Our cruise documents say boarding is 12:30-3pm.
What time should we arrive at the terminal?
Right at 12:30? or earlier?
We are hoping to eat lunch on board. -

I am looking for a hotel for my group for our cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale in Nov. We are flying in and will need rooms for one night before and one night after our cruise. I am going to need 12 rooms. I would prefer a hotel that includes breakfast and is located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We are going to need shuttles to/from the airport and cruise terminal-- It would be great if they were "free".
Above all, I want the hotel to be CLEAN!! I know that is a lot. LOL
Any suggestions?

Was it with AC? Do you mind to share roughly (ball park) what the cost is? We have 8 in our group and I am just trying to figure out options at this point - everyone has a different budget so it is difficult to find something that suits everyone
