  1. A polite toss of a chip after a hand into the dealer's playing field before cards are dealt for the next round is appropriate. So is leaving chips for the dealer after you color up when you're done playing.

I've had losing sessions where I didn't tip at all because the cards didn't allow for any bit of a run, I've also had runs where you keep winning and I found myself tossing a chip after every hand.

Any tip is appreciated by a dealer, especially on cruise ships where there is a large influx of people that have never gambled at a table game before. People are new, learning, and might just not know it is a nice way to share back with the person hopefully allowing you to make money.

  2. Once you're onboard go to guest services and ask for additional keycards to the rooms. Guest services should issue them without issue.

Cruised with my DW each in separate rooms (Wanted the 6x night benefit for solo in a JS). DW was solo interior, I was solo in JS. Asked Guest services for a new key for my room with my wife's name on it. No issues at all.

I'm trying to decide if I should purchase a beverage package.

I normally purchase the replenish package, since I normally only use it for bottle water, soda for during the shows, and coffees.  Would I still be able to purchase a regular cocktail of the day if I should desire?  I'm thinking the cost would just be added to my room.  How much do they normally cost?

    Thank you

    Mary

~$12-$14 per cocktail and they would just charge it to your room.

I tried to book my canceled  sept harmony to during the applicable October - February time.   I had seven different sailing dates that would work with my schedule. All seven were not available!   I guess I’ll lose the comped cruise.

Obviously I feel your pain on this one! They told me I have until August to decide so I guess I’ll leave it in limbo and hope they expand the dates of the offer out a little.

  5. Have you TA indicate on the booking that you are looking to have a pack and play "crib" in your room. If it is not there call guest services as soon as your room is open or ask your stateroom attendant for help.

For your room setup, depending on pricing it might be worth pricing out two connecting rooms opposed to putting everyone in one room. The benefit here aside from 2 bathrooms is that at bed time you have the child in the one room and close the connecting door except for a crack and you can go about your business in the other room. One of you will also then be a solo cruiser therefore will get 28 CA points if that is important to you.

My son is 3 and has been on 3 cruises (We started @ 6 Months) and it has always been an enjoyable experience. Oasis has so much to do, 1.5 will be a little young for some things but you should find a nice relaxing routine to settle into for a 14 nighter.

Diaper packing will be your enemy here, obviously ~10 diapers a day x 14 days = 140 + Extras (And Wipes). Make sure you also bring your OTC baby meds if teething gets out of hand. Baby will also have to use the shower for bathing (Unless you spring for a Junior Suite).

No risk, no reward, paid $6k for a Aquatheater suite for 4. I know probably wont sail. Not gullible at all, but willing to roll the dice.

I agree with your methodology completely, the reward is worth the risk of having someone hold your money for a little bit. Either you sail, You get your cash back, or you roll the money into a 25% gain in RCL credit.

    Really no downside here.

  7. Got a Free interior room offer for any sailing Sept-Dec Excluding Xmas and New Years. Got a CP Balcony on Oasis out of NJ in Sept for $295 (Includes Tax, Port Fees, and Upgrade Single Occupancy). The connecting room for the rest of my party was $1800. We were sailing anyways, but this was a nice find.
