I tell ya - I hardly recognize WDW anymore. It's been 28+ years since I was last there. A lot has changed. I used to live in Orlando back in the early 90's, so I went there so much I started breaking out in hives at the thought of Mickey Mouse. Don't have any desire to return, but I enjoy seeing the stuff that's "new".

The only thing that I am not allowed to ride is It’s a Small World. Well, I could, but no one will come with me.
You're not missing much, imo. And then that damn song sticks in your head for the rest of the day! 😖

There may or may not have been some screaming involved.
Are you referring to the ride .... or when you saw the price of admission to the parks? 😂
Yeah, I know I'm late to the party. I'm reading fast to try to catch up.

If I recall the Norfolk port was used a few years back as a temporary port.
We sailed out of Norfolk last August and they said the port was being closed for the next couple of years to dredge it out deeper. So I don't think Norfolk is an option.

I payed $450 for just a 7 day cruise last month. 😮
How many devices was that for???? I just bought the 1 device package last week for my 8 night sailing in February, and it was only $144.

Is there a golf cart rental near the cruise terminal in Charlotte Amalie? Can someone recommend?

I assume its 24 hours straight from the time you first log in as opposed it being broken up into 'blocks' of time. eg: 5 hrs, then another 7 later on, etc.
Correct.

This is the first time for an Magic extended season in Norfolk so you are getting a lot of new cruisers and ones that typically do other lines but wanted to try it since it was close to home. A ship with a lot of first time cruisers is going to feel different as all the newbies try to figure it out.
My wife and I fall into this category. Have always sailed Royal - this is our first Carnival. We have wanted to try Carnival for some time, and the homeport is only a 6 hour drive with an interesting itinerary (3 days in Bermuda). I'm going in with an open mind, knowing there will be differences. It always makes it more enjoyable when you go with the flow.

So, if Royal Caribbean comes to its senses and makes its cruise fares reasonable again, we'll be cruising frequently again.
You are probably safe, I fear. As long as they continue to fill ships to capacity, prices will only go one direction.⏫

The Laundry uses massive amounts of energy; I know you purposely ignored a clear point to make a comment, but come on
Never let it be said I let an opportunity for a joke slip through my fingers. 😝

Let's face it, they are MASSIVELY wasteful - Need extra towels, more laundry (one of the biggest consumers of energy on the ship)
That's a stretch. I'm pretty sure the engines to propel the ship require more energy than towel animals.

I have to agree, it was a very nice location.
Lisa and many others noted that the water depth was troublesome. Half way to the bench seats and the bridge I had to be on my tippy toes.Yeah, I'm 6'3" - didn't notice the depth that much. 🤷♂️😂

I, however, plan to never cruise on over a holiday during any school break again😂😂
Exactly why we don't book cruises in summer.

We experienced an itinerary change last September on our Harmony cruise out of Port Canaveral. It was supposed to be an Eastern Carib itinerary, but was changed to Cozumel and Costa Maya due to Hurricane Ian. While we were looking forward to an Eastern Carib route, the disappointment of going to Cozumel for the umpteenth time didn't deter us from having a fantastic time, still. Ironically, we had the calmest seas we've ever experienced in the Gulf. This pic was during one of our sea days in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico.

so long as he doesn't drive a car on the "most wanted" theft list and doesn't leave anything inside of value that's visible he should be ok.
My SIL was wanting us to take her 2 month old Toyota Highlander because it would be more comfortable for the 2.5 hour drive than my '18 Rav4 - I told her "ABSOLUTELY NOT"!!

No you can not request times. And they have recently changed to one service per day.

I’m constantly amazed how anyone dares to live in the United States when it’s only 55 miles from Russia."Some people" can even see it from their backyard. 😉

Yes, I did mean you. Please reconsider.
Why? I've used this garage in the past with no issues.

Why aren't you parking at the port?
Me? $25 per day at the port vs $7 per day at the off-site garage. On a 9 night itinerary, that's a significant difference.

I you need a break from the noise (kids), LOTS has my very favorite solarium. Under the bridge over the pool, there is a small tabletop in the water with stools in the water to relax with your drink. It's a great place to meet people. We spent many sea days there for most of the day!
