  1. I've been on the Pride four times, with cruise number 5 coming up next week. I think one of our favorite things on the ship is the piano bar. Roger is fantastic and really engages everyone sitting there. You can't help laughing and singing along. I was disappointed to see that he is going to be on another boat this time around so we will miss him, but if he's there while you're cruising, you need to definitely put this on your to-do list!

  2. Hi flyboyswife - My husband and I have sailed on the Pride four times, our fifth coming up on Sept. 7th. I can tell you we have arrived at the terminal each time by 11 am. We have always gotten right in line to have our carry on bags scanned and our check in completed as soon as we got there. Once that is done, they have you take a seat to wait for boarding. Our experience has been that they seat you in sections and then allow you to load in the order the sections were seated. We have always been onboard by 1 pm, however, the rooms are not always ready and you find yourself walking around the ship carrying your bags. Once or twice we have taken the chance and gone to our room just to unload and this has never proven to be a problem, even if there are staff there working. We learned on our first and second voyage that everyone seems to congregate at the buffet and finding a table and/or seat there is nearly impossible prior to the staterooms being available. We try to find a seat outside on an upper deck which tends to be less crowded and gives us the opportunity to do some people watching. We love cruising on the Pride and the Port of Baltimore is easily accessible. Hope you have a great vacation!!

  3. We'll be taking our fifth Carnival cruise next month. Before our first one in 2010, people kept telling us that we made a terrible choice because Carnival is the 'low budget' line. Although I have nothing to compare it to, I can say that our vacations have been everything we had hoped they would be. If I had to come up with anything negative to say, it would simply be that we wish they would change the show line up. We ended up seeing the same productions each time, but solved that problem by going to the comedy lounge or checking out other happenings on board. The staff works incredibly hard to ensure we have a good time and Kirk Benning is a cruise director like no other. For the fare we paid, I believe we got a tremendous bargain. I would not hesitate to recommend the Carnival Pride our of Baltimore, MD.
