I think the 'On the Bayou' was the best show they had. I'm not sure if they moved it to the theatre.

For those who were interested in pics of Island Princess look on Facebook - search "Cruising Princess Cruise Lines with Vickie" Scroll down to about 15 pictures showing outside and inside views.
Thanks for the link great pictures of the Princess ships.
Have a great day all.

Everything is great on the Emerald. I hope they do not change it very much in dry dock like the Island.
For short cruises in the winter we like the Plaza deck inside cabins behind the art galley. A great location to walk through at the end of the day along with the Piazza of course. We only use the cabin to change and rest at night.
Maybe we will see you folks on the Emerald in Jan. or the Regal in Feb.

Thanks for the heads up about the Universal Lounge being gutted. I called the 1-800 number and they said they do not have any info until about a month before the drydock. Stay Tuned.

We have just finished a B2B on the Island Princess through the Canal (FLL to LA and Back). Removing the Universal lounge and if they are removing the viewing areas on the Baja and other decks to simply add more staterooms is profit driven. I think though they are adding an International Cafe. Having said that we will not be cruising on the Island in the foreseeable future. It's just as bad as the Regal and Royal with no centre stairwells and promenade decks for the passengers (money, money money). I understand they have to make a profit but why not give the paying customers something in return.
Coral vs. Island Princess

Coral, Coral, Coral. We have sailed the Island 3x through the canal before the retrofit. If you have not gone on the Island before the retrofit it may not matter but the Coral's theater and promenade deck should be better. Make sure you are going through the old locks. We are looking forward going through the new locks on the Caribbean Princess next year
Enjoy
