I am glad that you were both able to make use of the OneNote notebook link. I'm working on my Hawaii one now. It is massive. So much to see and do. I still have 16 months until that cruise, so it is going to keep growing. :D

Ann, how do I find this link everyone is speaking of? I'm interested to read it, as I return to Cartagena next month.

I went to Cartagena in 2014. Based on advice I read online, I walked past the first set of taxi drivers who are hounding you, until you are fully out of the port. I 100% recommend this. By walking just a little bit further you find the less aggressive taxis who will charge you much less.

Also if you want a tour with your taxi, make sure they actually speak english. If air conditioning in a car is important, ask, they don't all have it.

We ended up paying a driver to take us to the Mud Volcano. It was an absolutely amazing experience that I will never forget. I think there were parts where our taxi driver convinced us to overtip, but it didn't bother us much because we can tell the locals don't have a lot. Then he gave us a tour on the way back and dropped us off at the walled city. Then picked us up a couple hours later and brought us back to the ship. Unfortunately I can't remember how much we paid. I can tell you we used US Dollars everywhere, with absolutely zero issue. I do recommend having lots of small bills in case you do anything that requires a tip.

We will be back in Cartagena on a cruise next month, so we need to decide what to do this time.

Thanks, sorry I just called it a resort as it's just one part of the island that Princess leases. I was hoping to do a bit more there than just lounge on the beach. I've found a bit of info but not much, so we shall see what others say.

Hey Everyone,

I'm hoping for some information on leaving the resort of Princess Cays while at Eleuthera. I have seem some information here that if you leave the resort, there are a few shops just outside, or alternatively, if you walk to the East, along the beach, you will come upon an old graveyard.

I'm curious if you leave the resort if you will find any taxi's or perhaps moped rentals? Additionally, are there any beaches within walking distance that are better for snorkeling? What about beaches that are not within walking distance? Personally I'd prefer not to be clustered with everyone else from the ship on one part of the island, but at the same time, I'm not sure how easy it is to explore.

Light house beach looks nice, but looks pretty far for walking.

Any thoughts, ideas, comments, on leaving the resort without using one of the paid cruise line excursions is much appreciated. I have no issue paying for a taxi or something, I just generally try to avoid the excursions offered by the ship itself.

That's super silly! I've heard some people buy floats at dollar stores and take them with you, however, good luck finding a pool float at a dollar store this time of year! I know we will be packing our snorkel gear from home.

I guess you can't reserve them ahead of time anymore! Thanks for your help!

I leave on a Princess Cruise in November, and I can pre-book floats, noodles, snorkel equipment, etc. through the 'excursion' part of the princess website. Perhaps it is different with Carnival

On the Disney Wonder, is there any Sauna or Steam Room that is available without paying for a spa pass? Or do you have to pay for the 1 day spa pass?

Does the gym/fitness area have any access to lockers?
