Thank you Leck. We were both looking at it, and had calculators and it just didn't make much sense to us lol. Hopefully we get it on the card as a cheque in dollars won't be much use to us in the UK.

Yes an observed lft (or pcr depending on vaccine status) is required before boarding. There is a dam health in Southampton or you could do an online test. I assume though you won't have a car etc..... at the port so that may be am issue for dam health. You could order one for online from where you are based now ?

Are they doing a full kids club at the moment as other lines are restricting it to a set number of sessions a day? Staff shortages I guess.
From what I have read they are doing morning, afternoon and evening sessions so you have to pick them up for meal times. I think the meal times are 1-2, 5-6.

For that age group, they do lots of arts and craft activities - they generally have a "theme" each day and do crafts/games around that theme. My kids have made keychains, totem poles, necklaces, photo frames, and bookmarks. They colour tshirts and bags. They have educational things such as learning about turtles and sharks. They do ice cream parties, take the kids to the buffet for kid night dinner, watch movies, and play games. I haven't sailed Sky but most ships for that age have a small jungle gym inside the room, computers, books, and an outdoor play area. There is sometimes a talent show, a scavenger hunt, and pajama party (depends on ship/staff/number of kids). Be prepared to have LOTS of projects to bring home...lol!
Oh wow! She will absolutely love that! Arts and crafts is her thing totally! I was hoping it wasn't just sat on computers or watching films all day and this sounds absolutely perfect. I will be dragging her off ship I think, and may need an extra case to bring stuff home. Thank you so much for this.

Just a bump incase anyone can help.

We are boarding sky princess next week and we have a very excited 5 year old about the kids clubs. She keeps asking what sort of activities they will do for that age group and I wondered if anyone could help me out so I can tell her. She likes to know things in advance so it will help her settle if she knows what they are likely to do.
Thank you very much on advance for your help. xx

Sure, I can confirm that it's fine. Kinda useless though, isn't it? Best to get a confirmation from Princess.
I dont trust that they can count currently! We are keeping it as the Wednesday. It is within 72 hours of boarding for us and that is 3 days and I know plenty of others who have boarded with tests on the Wednesday. If the worst happens we will test at the port, but I find that very unlikely.

Are they flowflex tests? If so then yep they are allowed as that's what dochq have sent out to us and they have been accepted by many people before us on board.
-
Confusion reigns on a cruise Facebook group! Princess sent an email to a passenger saying 3 days means tests can only be taken from the Thursday before a Saturday departure date. We have ours booked for the Wednesday, and now everyone with Wednesday bookings are panicking! Can someone confirm that the Wednesday before a Saturday departure is fine?
-
I thought most lines take it and hold it till the end of the cruise. Not charge you for it. I have had that happen on RCL and P&O. I have to tried on Princess as its our first cruise with them this year.

In the UK it is 2 primary vaccines and 1 booster to be considered fully vaccinated. Some groups were given a 2nd booster (mainly extremely vulnerable and over 75s).
My husband and I have had 5 vaccines and I'm hoping it doesn't confuse them at check in! We have so many sheets to our NHS certificates. We were on a vaccine trial and then had to have approved vaccines to be able to travel and then had a booster. I don't recommend 5 in a short space of time (less than a year for me!) We were very ill.

I believe Planks & Steamers have not opened since relaunch.
Oh no! We were really looking forward to trying it!

We want to book planks for 1 of our nights on board and wondered if they do a children's menu for our 5 year old? She will pick at the meat i would think but some of it might be a bit hot or spicy for her.
Any ideas?

We have only done one excursion (Ephesus from kusadasi) on a cruise and diy'ed all the rest. As long as you plan to be back in good time then it's so much better to save a lot of money. We always carry enough local currency to get a taxi back to the ship if something did happen.

I have to agree. The entertainment can be dire. On a recent 6 night cruise on Azura we had the same entertainers twice over and the tribute acts were appalling.
We have found RCI have the best entertainment by far on cruise ships.

Last year we went in July. And to our great surprise it actually snowed when we went to Mt. Dallsnibba. Quite heavy snow as well. So it could happen.
-
Wish I had seen this before I got back this morning from Azura.
I didn't visit the spa this time as on last years cruise my relaxing spa time was ruined by the hard sell after I had a lovely full body massage. It got so draining saying I'm not interested thank you very much, and getting firmer and former that it kind of took all the relaxation away.... Especially after being told my skin is getting a bit old at 38 and I needed detox sachets at £150!!

If it's A614, I'd say the 1st and 4th June will be formal (I have checked and you have 2xformal)
I am on the same cruise and that has been my guess as well. They may surprise me but I am sure that will be the days.
-
you could have linked the booking, then you would have had the same time. It's worth a call? Are you all on the same table for dinner?
No for dinner as it is actually 2 separate holidays. We don't intend spending much time with my mum and her friend. Not in a horrible way but this is totally 2 separate holidays for us.
-
You can all board together at 15.30.
Hahaha. Like my mum would miss 2 hours onboard time!!
It doesn't bother me waiting to get on, just don't want to wait in the terminal doing nothing. Would rather be shopping.
-
Thanks for all the help. We may take a chance and see if we can get the same boarding letter if not no harm done as we are more than happy for some time in west quay.
-
We leave on Monday on Azura. My mum and her friend have now booked the same cruise. We are travelling together in the same car but they have a 13.30 boarding time and we have 15.30 boarding time. Very annoying.
So can we drop them off, park the car drop off our luggage and then take a trip to Southampton west quay on foot? I assuming we will have to now p&o are strict with embarkation times.
Help with my Final Room Account!

No we had no OBC and we hadn't put money on the account. That's why it's so odd. We assume it's to do with the Internet refund.
