We were on the QM2 when the cruise was cancelled and have yet to hear anything from Cunard. I followed up late last week and am waiting. We do not know whether a refund is possible as when on the ship an FCC for a pro-rated amount was the only mention made. Has anyone else on the ship at that time heard from Cunard. Thanks

Hi Thanks so much for the information. Certainly not easy to find answers on the Cunard website. By the way we board in Sydney. Jeanette

Hi we leave for our first Cunard cruise next week on the Queen Mary and need some help re Queens Grill and any other insider tips on all things Cunard you can give me.
Specifically with the bar set up does it get replenished? Or is it a one time deal. Does the boarding time advised really mean that time? We have 1pm and wonder if we can board earlier as we will have left our hotel.
Many thanks
Jeanette

Yes that's the advertising showing on NZ TV at the moment - we hadn't noticed as we never watch the adds - but my partner backed up the recording so we could have a look - the page has the same image https://www.cunard.com/en-au/cruise-deals/explore-in-style
My issue with it is that
a) I'm over 30
b) I'm over a size 6 (or 1 in US sizes)
c) none of those beautiful peopple are actually doing anything - they aren't dancing on the ship - they aren't walking on land - and if they tried to the clothes they have on wouldn't help.
I'm seriously thinking about doing a set of photos of what real style is for us old fat people!
Hi Lissie Good for you. I found the clip a bit off putting. We are on the same trip as you I think to Capetown?? Also from New Zealand. First time on Cunard and based on the clip wondering how we would fit in. Jeanette

Hi looking for help as we are thinking of taking 2 Queen Mary back to back cruises and have not cruised on Cunard before. We are normally Princess cruisers. What are the biggest differences/ similar things? Thanks Jeanette

I have emailed Jan Swartz as suggested and got a read receipt so know it got delivered. No response as yet that was several days ago. Followed up today. We live in New Zealand and are a small market but politeness alone says that at least I should have received some response!!

Agree completely....wrote an email to Princess late last week to see if they could confirm that furniture is being removed from their ship staterooms.
Received a call today from their corporate office and the CSR confirmed that they are indeed removing the chair and table from standard and balcony cabins to "create more living space" for their passengers on their ships fleet wide.
I told her that I thought that reason rang hollow because there will only be one small chair in a balcony cabin now and it creates less living options for passengers.
I also told her that it would seem that they could put a less substantial chair in the room with arms so that people who need assistance sitting in a chair when dressing could easily get up.
She did say that they are tracking emails, letters and calls about this new policy and they are being forwarded up the Princess corporate chain.
We have been long time Princess cruisers but I indicated to her that when we book a cruise now we will be forced to look at other cruise lines to see what type of comfort our money will buy us. We do not want to do that but we will if there is only one chair in a balcony or premium balcony room, 😞
Hi Like you I have emailed and am waiting on a response. On the Sapphire from March 10 for 27 days so want a chair if there is one available. I am not young but not old and have had knee replacements so a chair with arms is more comfortable than just the bed.

Close but not exactly as it implies that Cointreau is in the same amounts as the other ingredients.
==================
Chairman of the Board
3 parts Grey Goose Vodka
3 parts Bombay Sapphire Gin
1 part Cointreau
Chilled over ice and strained==================
I agree this is a great drink! Some get it with olives but I always have it with a twist. Today is Thursday. We sail on Saturday. Guess what I will order for my sail away drink.
Totally agree with a twist is the way too go. Has spoiled the old Gin and tonic for me though!! We sail next March counting the days!!

Hi
Just waiting to read about your travels with my coffee. We do the same trip in reverse in March next year. Eager to get some pointers.
Have fun. Jeanette

Hi
Any thoughts on this cabin? Location, quietness or otherwise? All feedback appreciated. Jeanette:)

Hi
Has anyone cruised in an oceanview cabin right at the front of the ship? If so what was the movement like?
Thanks for any help.

Hi
Going on the Sun Princess soon. Where do they hold the Elite/Platinum drinks between 5 and 7?
Thanks Jeanette

The new drinks certainly don't appeal to me. I enjoy a Chairman of the Board and they seem really popular! Why make a change if there is no problem? The increase seems steep as well.

Hi
Looking at options for Italian ports and found Italy Tours.EU. Has anyone used them? What do you think and which tours did you do? Thanks in advance.

Hi
Have cruised in a window suite and would again in a heartbeat if the price was right. Suite extras really nice. Location excellent down a separate corridor so little foot traffic. Room really spacious. Enjoy. Jeanette

Hi
Any thoughts on this cabin? Happy to have the extra space and wonder is the extra money worth it?
Thanks

Hi Thanks for the feedback. Will avoid. If you have any recommendations I would welcome them.

Hi
Has anyone used Cruising excursions for excursions? They seem to offer a wide range of tours. We are doing a Med cruise in September. Thanks
-
Hi We are booked on a Med cruise in September aboard the Pacific Princess. Any thoughts /advice as we have not sailed on a small ship previously. Where do the Platinum/Elite passengers meet in the evening?
What dining time is preferable as there in not anytime dining. Currently seems a little early at 6pm. Has anyone been in cabin 6004?
Thanks
Jeanette

Hi
We are taking a cruise later this year in the Med on the Pacific Princess. As this ship does not have Anytime Dining I would appreciate thoughts on early or late sittings. Given the choice we would do anytime and eat around 7pm. So thoughts? Jeanette:)
