Keep in mind that Travel Agencies and Consortiums are blocking Group Space on all of these cruises. Their space is reviewed every few months and cabins are taken back if the agencies have not sold the space. When I called our TA to book us on the 13th she said she would get some group space for that date for a better price and extra amenities.
I believe that is what is happening but is that good policy? What is better, a bird in the hand or two in the bush?
They are denying a paying customer today for what might happen in the future.

Not sure if this has already been posted, but it looks like Princess has increased their exchange rate from 1.20 to 1.25. Cruise that is $499 US is now showing as $623.75 CAD, etc.
I just checked my booked cruise. The price increase reflects a change in currency rate to $1.25 from $1.20.
-
Princess adjusted their cabin rate due to currency from 1.30 to 1.20 Monday of this week. Maybe that will put pressure on them to follow suit.I bought on board credit with Princess earlier this week and received no such adjustment. They were still using the $1.30 rate.
Yes, I noticed that too; that was why I only mentioned their cabin rate.

Thank you everyone for the solution to this problem.
My cruise will have 2 ships in port and a flight at 12:30PM. I now know what to do.
-
Same Here, bottles of wine are now 25% off.
More people will now bring their own wine and pay the fees beyond 2 bottles.

The prices have changed. From the Princess website:
- $59.99 per person, per day^
- Drinks including cocktails, wine, beer, bottled water, teas, fountain soda, specialty coffees and more.
- Limited to individual beverages up to $12 each.
- $59.99 per person, per day^
-
It changes tomorrow the 18th
This of course will mean price increases for individual drinks. Hopefully someone will redo the Princess AIBP Calculator.

We just did exactly that. ..................... and had the sip and sail promotion. the price of our room dropped and we cancelled and rebooked under the 3 for free (we lost the sip n sail). I told the Princess agent right away I did not want to lose my room and just wanted the lower price and the 3 for free. He did it immediately and sent a new booking confirmation and all was well.
We also did the same.

Here's a post with the menu & additional information.
Thanks for your post. Highly informative.

Mai Tai maybe even though not invented in Hawaii.

Hope you'll join me at RoundTheWorldWriter! I could use the help getting ready and I promise to share the fun once we head out next January!
I've bookmarked your site. I'm ready too!

Thanks for the tip.

In general the weather is beautiful sunshine for February for Hawaii. On other days the Kona winds arrive; that is rain overnight and overcast skies that clears off in late morning. The wind continues the rest of the day and can be intense making the beaches unusable for sunbathing.
