By the way, although I no longer live in Illinois, I grew up in Olney, a small town in the southeastern part of the state.

Thanks for the great insight. We will be on Adventure OTS in November for the first time. Do they still provide the individual toiletries or have they put in the wall dispensers?

You do not have to make reservations. However, if you show up at the most popular dining times, there will probably be a wait to be seated. On Explorer last year we did make reservations for each night and were seated immediately ahead of the people that just walked up and were waiting. We booked a 5:30 dining time for every night.

MTD does provide the flexibility to schedule dinner at different times on different nights. This is good if your ship is leaving port at a later time and you want to stay off ship a little longer. Another suggestion would be to book your MTD as soon as possible. If you wait too long your preferred time may not be available.

I deleted and reloaded the app and that did work. Thanks!

When I put in my information in the Link a cruise screen in the app it says "Sorry, we hit a snag. We're unable to complete your request. Please try again later." We are on Adventure beginning Nov. 17th. I have tried to enter it several times with the same result. Any ideas?

Thanks for the review. We are on Adventure Nov. 17 out of FLL.

Our daughter was a marching Razorback for 5 years! We spent a lot of time in Fayetteville and learned quickly how to call the hogs in the late 90's. We will have to try the Don Julio.

Thanks for the heads up Homosassa. That's good to know. I will be watching my cc bill. I also converted points on my RC credit card to OBC which is now not going to be used on Majesty. I had to assign it to a specific res no. Can that be transferred to a new cruise when I book again?

We were scheduled on Majesty out of FLL on 9-2 and had to cancel as well. We have received an email with our FCC but it is less than we paid for the cruise. Do we lose the port taxes and fees? They were not included in the amount t of the FCC. This is the first time we have had to cancel and don't know what to expect. We did have cruise insurance.

Thanks for the updates. We are flying into FLL Sunday and sailing Monday on Majesty out of there hopefully!

I am loving all your wonderful pictures. We sail on Majesty in 2 weeks and I can't wait.

I too am interested in this since I am also trying to stay keto and I am a 3 yr bariatric patient. I did a cruise in 2018 to Alaska and did pretty good, but not perfect. Rum with Diet Coke and a lime is good. I also like a good red wine. I am more concerned with the sugar content!

Try just aft of forward stairs / elevator lobby.
That's where we will be located so I guess we are good. Thanks.

The suites on Majesty deck 10 are directly below the pool deck and the Windjammer. Does anyone know how noisy it is or if one area is better than another? I' am mostly concerned about the noise at night and early morning.

Thanks for providing more insight on the Majesty. We are sailing on her during Labor Day week and appreciate your first hand information.

Hi guys!
Finally got our oceanview guarantee! We will be in 11502 - which is smack dab facing front! We are excited about it, but it is so hard to find information on these cabins! Does anyone have any insight into these facing front cabins? Do you feel a lot of rocking?
TIA!

Good to know! I too am Keto and won’t hesitate to request special drinks and food!

The only limitation is there is a $12 cap on the drinks included in the package at no charge. So if you were to get a glass of wine that was $13 you would get a $1.18 charged to your account - the amount over $12 plus the 18% gratuity. The majority of drinks are $12 & under.

That's helpful, thanks!
Any bariatric cruisers out there?

I am 3 1/2 years post op and had the sleeve. I have been on a couple of cruises since then and have done well. We had dinner in the MDR every night but 1 when we ate at Chops (small filet). I had my favorite appetizer several nights (escargot) and always ordered, but seldom finished, the sugar-free dessert option. Otherwise I focused on the protein and vegetables in each meal and it was always great (especially on lobster night!). I too told the server that I was a light eater so he understood after the first night not to worry about me when I didn't clean my plate.
Lunch was always in WJ and again I would just focus on getting my protein and veggies.
The first cruise after my surgery I brought a shaker bottle and protein powder on the trip so I could have it in the morning.
When I needed an afternoon snack I would go to WJ and get some cheese/turkey/ham or guacamole with a couple of chips.
