    Dear fellows,

I'll be sailing for the first time with Seabourn in this December, and would like to get a referral to the Seabourn Club. Anyone one interested in providing a referral to me?

Also a n00b question, since my wife and I are both first-time Seabourn sailors, can we get two 250$ OBC? Or it's limit to one per suite?

    Thanks!

  2. We have requested a special Indian meal onboard the Sojourn before.  We were asked if we would consider making it a party of 6 or 8 and we were happy to oblige.  We recently got off the Ovation where we spent 29 days and there was no Indian market during our cruise.

  3. We did 128 days on the Sojourn.  I am a morning person and had no issues with doing the self service laundry early in the AM.  I put it in the wash then hung out in SB square while it was going.  We brought clothespins to hang a few things on the expandable clothes line over the tub as needed and also brought a collapsible hamper which lives in the closet. We made good use of the $50/bag feature.

  4. If it gets chilly they have heaters that get turned on.  They will also distribute warm blankets.  Room service is always an option but you can’t get E&O food delivered.  You have two options for room service - order from the standard menu (steak, Caesar salad, club sandwich, burger, etc) or from the restaurant menu during dinner hours.  The food at E&O is wonderful, it’s our preferred spot for dinner.

For everyones info, we finished the cruise .

The testing was performed next door to the cruise terminal and very easy,5 mins walk max.

Our appt was at 9.50 and we arrived early with our suitcases ,there were no queues .

We got our tests straight away ,walked up to the Hyatt for a day room ,dropped our bags and went shopping!

Our results came through by email with 30 mins and we flew back to NZ that night 🙂

We were on your same cruise and were tested the day prior to disembarkation onboard the ship.  9AM in the Grand Salon.  How did we score this?  We asked.  Repeatedly.  Guest Services told us it would be announced in The Herald, it was not.  There were only about 20 of us in line, Seabourn charged our onboard account $10/person for the test.

  6. When we last cruised in 2019 there were specialty cocktail menus for the Observation Bar, the Club and the Keller Grill.  They were developed by Brian Van Flandern who is Thomas Keller’s head mixologist.  They include options such as a Vesper martini, Hemingway daiquiri and a black cherry bittered sling.

  7. You can order from the room service menu or the main dining room menu for that evening.  You can choose to have it served all at once or in courses.  There is a team of room service delivery people, the room attendants are not involved in meals.  You can absolutely have a bottle or two of wine or champagne delivered along with your meal.  We have never ordered cocktails to be delivered because the ship is so small it’s not an issue to go to one of the four bars that are open in the evening.  There are bars on decks 10, 9, 8 and 5.  Enjoy your trip!

  8. There is a choice of spirits in all of the cabins.  I think there is a way to order in advance from a limited menu in your guest reservation for the cruise.  Alternately, you can see what they have at the bars once aboard and ask your stewardess to have something delivered to your suite.  Or why not both?

  9. In our experience, the bar team occasionally goes ashore in ports and picks up assorted local craft beers which will show up at the entrance to the colonnade at lunch time.  If you find something you like on board, you can ask the bar manager to have some delivered to your cabin.
