  1. Hi,

There are a lot of things to do in Barcelona. Park Guell, Historic Centre, Sagrada Familia is very nice, Las ramblas, Camp Nou, Palau Guell. Its all depends on your interests. The historic center, Gaudi Houses and las Ramblas are all near. I recommend you use the metro and train system to move. A train line (R2) goes between the airport and passeig de gracia, near catalonya square. There are buses also that goes between the airport and catalonya square for 6 or 7 euros.

This airport is really busy so i would consider be at the airport 3 hours before the flight.

  2. Hi Maria, you will have around 6 hours in Roma. Its plenty of time for your 3 main attractions and more. I didnt stop at Ostione Station, but from Roma termini is all downhill to the Colosseum (15 minutes walking you should expect). The city centre is easily walkable and you will find a lot of things to see. I recommend walk though the Ponte San Angelo and watch the Vatican City on the left. Maybe you could do a circuit from Roma termini, walking to fontana di trevi, then spanish steps , pont san angelo, walking to Piazza Navona and finish on the colusseum and palatine hill before returning to the roma terminal.

In my case, I took the train to S.Pietro station, went to the sistine chapel, ate at the vatican restaurant, walk to piazza Navona for an ice-cream, The pantheon, fontana di trevi, a walk to the colosseum around 2 pm and finished at the palatine hill before walking to the Roma termini 30 minutes before time (the train will announce the gate 20 minutes before departure), all with a 1 yr old baby and 7+ people. So its possible to do a lot of things in 6 hours if you plan in advance.

For what I read when I planned my trip it is better to arrive after noon to the colosseum because of the tours that start there (or the vatican museum depending on the tour). at 2 pm we waited around 20 minutes to pass security (a must for all before buying or entering the colosseum) and thats it. (not for the people that didnt buy the tickets in advance that had to take another long line at the right). p.s. buy water far away the colosseum its a huge scam (6 euros for a gatorade !!)

  3. Last year I went to Ornos beach from the bus station at mykonos (4 euros rountrip ) it is a nice beach with almost no wind. Just a note. The water was cold in june .

  4. I will tell you how I did it last year.

The cruise arrived at 8:00 to the port.

The free shuttle from the ship to outsite the port will leave at a parking station far from the train, and the only option is to take the bus that leave from there (2 euros)

I took the 8:42 train to S.Prietro (Near the Vatican) (arrived at 9:30 app)

. $5 euros app. I bought the ticket at Venice train station (the tickets last 60 days), but you can buy at the civittavechia station or 14 days before in the trenitalia website.

    other trains: 8:56-9:56(arrival), 9:43-10:26(arrival).

For the return I took the frecciabianca tren at 16:57 (this one I bought at trenitalia website at 9.00 euros) because it didnt stop in any other station and have AC and better seats (reserved seats). It arrived at 17:40 at the station and took a taxi to the ship.

The last call for the ship was at 18:30.

I recommend buying the ticket to the vatican museum and the colisseum in advance or you will be on the queue all day.

  5. Im going to Puerto Chacabuco in a few weeks and I am planning to take a bus to Coyhaique (capital region). From what I know the bus to puerto Aysen forom the port cost around $ 2 US dollars (10-15 minutes). Puerto Aysen is a small city with the largest suspension bridge of Chile. From here you could take a taxi and ask for a tour around the different waterfall near the town (but dont expect that they speak english) or take a bus to Coyhaique for $ 7 US dollars (45-1 hour) every 30 minutes. From what I have read the journey between the two town is similar to the Lord of the Ring movies (A lot of green and mountains) and the best view of the valley is in the Salto de la Virgén (Virgin Waterfall).

I will post how it went.

Ok, I arrived from my cruise and have some info.

It rains all the time. There are two domes with crafts, a hotel with a coffee shop and restaurant, nice views... that`s it. no more than an hour to see all that.

When you exit the port walk to your right, at the end of the road you will see a little hill in front of you with 2 domes, tourist Van and guides. there were at least ten different guides but I only saw 1 man with a poster that charged 150 dollars. If you are not interested, instead of going to the domes, walk to your left to the pavement road and take the shuttle bus to puerto aysen (Most were miniVans), they cost $500 pesos chilenos (less than a dollar). From puerto chacabuco to puerto aysen its like 15 minutes. Remember that they only accept chilean pesos here, there are no currency exchange at puerto chacabuco or puerto asyen.

This is important you must get down when the minivan turn left at the first bus and taxi stop, 2 blocks after crossing the red bridge. You could also ask the driver to stop where the bus to Coyhaique leaves). To buy a ticket you must enter to the office located just next to the bus stop (Buses Ali). Another bus company (Buses Suray) is located on the same street as the bridge, but half block on the opposite direction. I dont remember the exact price but it was less than 10 dollars.

This is also important the bus leaves every hour or something like that (11:30-12:40) so I recommend going quickly to buy a ticket and skip the visit of puerto aysen (there is nothing to see anyway). I also recomend to ask for the hours to get back and buy in advance so you dont have to worry later.

The bus will leave you near the city centre. Where you can find stores and restaurant. Much better than puerto aysen and puerto chacabuco.
