That was not true for us. I have used fare viewer with 4 separate cruises and they only adjusted my cruise rate and the taxes and port charges were the same.

Renee- you can go to carnivals page and search for fare viewer. Or google it too. It shows you the cruise rate price before port charges and taxes. If you book under the early saver rate the first time you have price protection And can change to any other offer at any time [emoji1]

When the price drops don't submit the form. Just pick up the phone and call them. By price went down 13 times and when we got on the ship we had $1300 on board credit.
