Just a quick question from a work friend about the best promenade cabins made me think about the Ben and Jerry’s suite on Freedom class. Is there one on Voyager class, in particular the Explorer?

I tried to search the boards but there was nothing.

Did people without the drink package have this ‘service charge’ applied to their drink orders as well?

They actually did some earlier this year, this past December.

Starting earlier but dragging out the last few releases. It would be great if they could release everything together a the same time so we have a even playing field and could plan ahead.

Has anyone heard anything about a Trans Pacific later in 2019? Do you think there will be one from Seattle/Vancouver to Sydney?

Super gutted. It's hard enough trying to check the RC website AND this thread each and every single day, multiple times a day, trying to keep an eye on this. Doing it for an indeterminate amount of time is just exhausting.

I'm over it....It is the same thing every year.

Delays after delays.

They have a year to get their plans in place but still can't get their act together.

I thought I read that they still do it, but it takes some skill to put the hole in the right place.

Sailed on Ovation in January and cards came with the hole pre-punched.

Just got off Ovation and received the D+ 30% discount.

The offer wasn't listed on the page of perks or the print out from a bar.

Thought I would just ask if it a discount was applicable as I was purchasing it at a sales counter. They didn't know and their colleagues standing nearby had no clue. The guy serving me excused himself and went away to check. Came back a short time later with confirmation! Woohoo!

Just proves it doesn't hurt to politely ask a question and even employees may learn something from the exchange.

Just got off Ovation yesterday... kids were getting LL&B at pool bar no problem but bartenders struggled with correct method 😱

We received a call this week for our first ever complimentary C & A upgrade. We went from a D5 to a Royal Family Suite on Ovation. Woohoo!

An upsell is great, an upgrade is like winning the lottery!

The funny thing is that we wanted to book a suite for this cruise, but suites were all "sold out" and only balconies were available.

We just received our first ever free upgrade from a D5 to a Royal Family Suite!

Air New Zealand does IAH - AKL non-stop 5 days a week.

They have Premium Economy.

Still quite a long flight ~ 13 1/2 hours + 3 hour flight to Sydney.

Good option if wanting to visit NZ for a few days before going to Sydney.

Bora Bora is spectacular and is the highlight of this itinerary. If you are considering a transpacific, make sure it goes via Bora Bora!

Echoing what GUT2407 said. Have done similar trips many times and it does help to break up the long haul flights into smaller legs. Could spend a day or two in Hawaii and the flight time is around ten hours to Sydney.

Have you considered timing your trip to coincide with a repositioning/transpacific cruise to negate one leg of the trip? Also a great way to visit Bora Bora or Samoa etc depending on which route the ship takes.

Thanks for your perspective of drinks packages with lounge access. I wouldn't like to feel obliged to have extra drinks to achieve value out of the package. I think we will just continue to pay as we go outside of D/CL cocktail hours.
