Hello - I've just learned that this group will be on our upcoming cruise. I've looked on the internet and can't find too much info. I've also searched the boards as well. So, can anyone tell me about this group? I'm interested in how many participants I can expect? Will they 'takeover' the ship? Will any venues be closed off? Any other impacts? Thank-you.

Does anyone have any idea or prior experience about the order cabins will be assigned? We've been involved with ship to sister-ship changes which was straightforward. But, the Zaandam and Zuiderdam have different cabin categories. Who gets priority? Who's get's bumped up or down? I realize it's early on in the process. Thanks.

Hello - can anyone help with 10/2019 docking location of the Rotterdam in Bordeaux? There seem to be multiple locations; some in the city, others far away. I've searched the internet, the HAL website and CC with no results. Thanks for your help.

Really sorry - the 10/6/2019 cruise from Monte Carlo to Athens is fine. It is the 10/18/2019 cruise from Athens that has been chartered. Sorry for the confusion.....

Overnight, I received an email from my TA who advised that Marina has been chartered from 10/6/19. So all is OK. No drydock at that time. Phew! Thanks to all for their responses!

We're currently reserved on the Marina for the 10/6/19 cruise from Monte to Carlo to Athens. Some information that I've seen, as well as the 10-day hole in the Marina's schedule, seem to confirm that she will be going into drydock. Should I expect anything that might suggest that I not take the cruise in 2019? I've seen comments and discussions on other boards about preliminary drydock work during the last cruise as well as certain foods being unavailable, noise, grinding, etc. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello and many thanks for the photos, They came through just fine. This info definitely helps us understand the changes a bit more. Does anyone know what the charter is or will be to/for?

Hello - We've been in both cabins. They are identical - just different sides of the ship. Yes, the room is bumped out and definitely larger than other SS cabins. The balcony gives you a great look forward and takes you right to the edge of the ship/hull. But, there is some lack of privacy from/to your forward neighbors. We always check availability if we're booking. There are plenty of pics on internet and some video on YouTube.

FYI - we received notice last night that Celebrity Millennium has been chartered for the 3/28/2020 and 4/11/2020 sailings. They've offered various re-booking opportunities, OBC, fare protection, etc. No allowance for airfare as it's way too early. Not sure if it was chartered or chartered/sold? It's interesting to note that these are/were the last two cruises currently bookable on Millennium. We're currently looking at options. This is the first time this has happened to us. Oh well.....

From prior posts, I've been able to see that excursions appear about 6-9 months is advance of the sailing date. These posts are about a year old, but do they hold true today? We're on a 12/2018 cruise from Dubai to Cape Town, and at present, the only excursions available are full day/half day private cars. Would appreciate any comments or update. Thanks!

I think the the topic/question is one of 'transportation'. It's not a consumption or smuggling issue. For example, can you take a Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess, purchase liquor in St Thomas and upon return to Ft Lauderdale, take your purchased liquor immediately aboard the Island Princess for a Panama Canal cruise to Los Angeles? Will Princess accept your liquor for storage as they would a purchase in St Thomas or St Maarten? It's an interesting question and idea given the amount of problems flying with or shipping liquor. I would like to know the answer, too. Thanks...

Generally, if we're headed to the Caribbean where sand and water adventures are likely, we pack a point & shoot and an Underwater Housing. If we're headed to Europe, Asia, etc., it's always the DSLR and two lenses; one wide angle and one mid-range zoom. We did the 2 DSLR's and 5 lenses in a rolling camera case once and once only. From my perspective, the non-Caribbean trips are more one-of and I trust only my DSLR. If you're taking a lot of pics, I would recommend a large capacity iPad where you can download and store or backup your photos. Even if you have a camera with two card slots - it's better to be backed-up. I don't consider a cell phone with a camera as a viable option. Just my $.02.

To be clear, the Prestige Package covers glasses of wine but not bottles of wine during dinner? The inclusion of bottles of wine during dinner would be a plus, even with a reasonable dollar cap. We usually have wine with dinner - usually some of the nicer selections to go with the great dinner menu!

We did St Petersburg with Alla Tours last week. There were 16 in the group. Dina was our guide and Vladimir our driver for the two days. Dina did a fantastic job. We saw lots in and out of the city. Everything was explained - it was very educational and informative. The days were long - we made the requisite museum, church and palace stops, had lunch each day, rode the subway, a hydrofoil and made a few unplanned stops too. Don't know if they have any 'connections' but the weather for the two days was sunny and warm. I recommend them highly. My only suggestion is to start your reservation process early on.

Hello - I’ve searched on Cruise Critic but am unable to find info about Oceania Transfers from Kiel, Germany. Does anyone know which airport the Oceania transfers take you to? It does not appear an easy place to travel from. Any help or comments are appreciated. Thank-you.
