  1. We were on the ship at the time. It happened on the final day of our cruise about an hour or so before we were scheduled to leave from Nassau, Captain announced it was a pipe that burst and flooded some areas of decks 5-6 and 7 I believe by the dining rooms and theater. It also had some impact to the areas around the casino and the Seaside lounge. There was some water on stairs and in the elevators. After a few hours the vast majority of it was cleaned up and you would have never know there was a problem. The crew and officers handled the situation extremely well.

  2. We just did the tour on the Seaside. It was $49 per person and lasted about 3 hours. The tour included the theater, Yacht Club, laundry, crew areas (bar and dining), storage areas (coolers, freezers) and galley (pastry, bread and main areas). The tour did not include the bridge or engineering areas for security reasons. They did allow photos in almost all areas. There were only about 8 of us on the tour (40 spots were offered). It was on the last Sea Day and started at 8:30am. They did include a gift and some appetizers. It was a little long and a bit disorganized but overall was a nice experience and would recommend at the price if you have never done a ship tour.

  3. Hello....

We will be on a B2B in July on the Preziosa. Could you please explain "the trio". I have not heard of that. Thank you.

This most likely may vary by ship- but the following is from the Seaside.

TRIO - THREE DISTINCT DINING EXPERIENCES

Ocean Cay is an exclusive venue offering signature seafood menu: sea bass, crab, clams. oysters and much more ... 4. Mariner Boy is wrong, as always. I'm surprised at Riclop's answer as well, unless they have changed. In March, we could not order dishes from a specialty restaurant.

Have you dined in the Specialty Restaurants also? If so, how would you compare the options in terms of service, quality... overall experience?

Thank you for your earlier reply. Given earlier threads, I found Mariner Boy's reply dubious.

  5. As a YC member you always have the option to request specific dishes from any of the speciality restaurants which makes the YC restaurant so appealing. This perk alone if abused daily pays for the cabin value outright.

I have even heard that the butlers would go to the closest NCL, Carnival or Royal ship to get entres from their specialty restaurants to please the yacht club passengers.

But in all seriousness, I would really like to hear from anyone that has dined in the Seaside specialty restaurants and the Yacht Club for their opinion.

  6. Can someone with recent experience provide insights into what drink package is included in the Yacht Club booking? I see three levels of drink packages in the brochure (Drinks on Us, All-Inc Classic and All-Inc Deluxe) but can't really tell what the Yacht Club includes. Thank you.

  7. Does anyone know how the photo package works with a super family (two connected balcony rooms) booked as a single booking. They have assigned myself and son to one cabin and my wife, daughter and mom to the other.

I purchased the package so it is currently in my name. Given this was one booking will one package work or do we need to purchase a second?

  8. Just arrived Port of Miami. Our second Seaside voyage. No major issues. A good cruise [emoji568][emoji484]️[emoji483][emoji925][emoji41]

    Welcome home!

I have a few questions for which I hope you may be able to provide some answers.

    1. How did your experience(s) compare to Carnival (given your name I am assuming you have sailed with Carnival)- we have been on several Carnival cruises (e.g. the Glory, Magic, Vista...) and have our first cruise with MSC on the Seaside in about a month.
    2. What cabin type and experience level did you have? How was it?
    3. Did you eat in the specialty restaurants? Did you have the trio package? How was your experience?
    4. Did you see any of the shows? How were they?

Looking forward to hearing more about your MSC experience(s).

  9. Does the Seaside have nightly photos like Carnival and other lines where they have multiple photographers setup each night in various locations around the ship taking photos with backgrounds? I have looked over some dailies and can’t seem to find any announced times and locations. I think Carnival may have two or three time slots each evening for photos. Also, I assume they take photos around the ship, at dinner, embarkation and at the various ports?

  10. As Joanc has said, “they would have booked the YC if space had been available”. I really think that is the point. The people who are thinking of booking the YC would like to look at it and are willing to pay $110 to do so. As someone who has sailed in the YC I see no problem with that. It also sounds like the staff keeps it discreet and handles it well...another successful marketing technique.

Exactly why I inquired on the original thread. We have two other cruises booked with MSC in the Yacht Club. It was sold out for our first MSC cruise this June. So I inquired as I thought it would be a great opportunity to check out the Yacht Club and put our mind at ease in the remaining bookings. I assure everyone, if we go it will not be to gawk at others :)

  11. Day 6 Sea day

My parents and my brother had a day pass to the YC,I went to the teen club, I played pool and played video games. I liked having my freedom. I went back to the room for a nap with my homework books open, so my parents thought I was working-lol.

How daid they obtain a day pass and what was the cost? We have a 2 week YC next June and would love to be able to check it out when we go this June (non- YC cabin this time).
