Just amazing. We cruised on the Regatta in May and missed ports plus had one port time shortened significantly. The same situation occurred (propulsion issues) and Oceania handled it in the same way. They lied.

These technical issues have been going on for some time with that ship. I guess management has finally met their match with the fed-up passengers during this latest debacle.

We'll never cruise on Oceania again -- their lack of transparency shows a total disregard for treatting passengers with the respect that they deserve. There are many other cruise lines to choose from -- Oceania will not be on our list the next time we cruise.

It depends on when you are planning to stay as hotel room rates vary based on capacity. Apps like Hotwire will give you a good indication of general location and star ratings — you can try that. We stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Inn in the West 40s last December which is the most expensive time right before the holidays and it was basic but clean with a view of the Empire State Building that was definitely in the range you are looking at. Trip advisor is also a good way to check hotels by neighborhood.

Mid-town West is centrally located.
