We have a B2B in September on the Encore but I think we may cancel it. Final payment isn't due until July but seeing how ports are refusing to let these ships dock is very disconcerting to me. I never want to be in that situation.

I wonder if something was wrong with your bed that it folded down to the floor rather than having some clearance?   We stayed in a 2 bedroom Haven on the Escape, and two of my teens shared the bedroom, and the other teen used the bed in the living room.   The second bedroom had a somewhat larger bed on the bottom - definitely NOT on the floor.    The other bed pulled down from the ceiling and the steward set up the ladder.     All three kids were happy with their beds - all thought they were comfy.   We did ask for an egg crate mattress topper for the living room couch ahead of time as we knew it would be very firm.

Maybe it's me but even from this picture that bed is the same as the one we had in November. My son said that it was comfortable but too low for me.

We stayed in the 2 Bedroom on the Escape in November. I didn't like the bed it that it's basically on the floor, no legs. It basically unfolded to the floor. Unlike the old fashion pull out couches you should actually sit on the bed and it had legs. My 32 year old son stayed in the room and he didn't complain. He said that it was comfortable but I just didn't like it. It wasn't what I expected.  We kept it made all the time. We never asked the steward to turn it back into a sofa and he could move around perfectly fine. Maybe the Encore's second bedroom is larger but it looks the same from the video.

We did it last December on the Bliss and the drinks were premixed. 

I enjoyed the show but definitely get there early so that you can get a good seat.

Stayed in the AFT on the 15th floor on the Bliss last December and had a little soot but not enough to be an issue.

pretty disgusting!! that's why we don't do public hot tubs.

My MIL is our 3rd guest and she doesn’t drink much but we were just going to Pay for her drinks on a per drink basis....All servers or bartenders we started ordering hers from just told us to put it on one of ours 

 

Was simple w no problems 

 

Tipped each drink extra 

Same thing happened with us last December on the Bliss. My sister-in-law was the third person in our cabin and every time she was with us and gave her card the waiter or bartender would give it back and use one of ours.

If both my husband and I are platinum does it mean that we each get a dinner for two? 

1) Prefer Bliss because of the smoking/non-smoking casino areas. So much to do.

2) Getaway - boring ship. i love cruising and vacationing but the Getaway was the worst with things to do and just NO FUN!!!!!

I did read a number of reviews from people who stayed directly under the fitness center who complained about the sound of weights dropping overhead which helped us make our decision. 

 I stayed in a Haven Spa on the Getaway under the Gym. It wasn't good in the mornings. I would NEVER stay beneath the gym again.

I tried to change the cruise length and it didn't allow me to. Definitely can't take that long of a cruise.

We book outright. I don't like having someone else decides for me where I'm staying.

I've taken a my little Joy Mangano My Little Steamer on every cruise and never had an issue.

We were in the H6 on the Bliss in December. Loved our butler. Ordered Breakfast 3 mornings and did not put the breakfast order on the door the night before. Frankly, we don't eat breakfast every morning. So, we don't know the night before if we even want breakfast. I Explained that to our butler and he said no problem just call in the morning. 

Definitely a long walk to the elevators but it helps with reducing the weight gain.

Haven Spa if nothing else is available. 

We have stayed in a Haven Penthouse, Haven Spa, Haven Aft and Haven Forward. We like the spa the least because the room is too small and the Thermal Spa have the same folks that love to hog the lounges and I honestly dont have the patience for folks with that mindset.  We absolutely love the separate rooms in both the Forward and the AFT, I can watch movies early in the morning without disturbing my spouse. We also like having choices. We can go to the Haven area and relax and have drinks delivered or go hang out in the regular area of the ship. We also love the free  room service for breakfast. We stayed in a Mini-Suite after being in the Haven and when we ordered room service for breakfast what a wake-up call(sad). My husband said never again. We are not pool people but I love going to the Haven area to read and people watch. It has never been overrun and I can read peacefully if I choose. We'll never sail non-Haven again. We cruise for the ship so that's another reason the Haven is important to us. It's about the experience and our fellow cruisers. We love people. For me all those things justify paying for the Haven.

I think because of the Bidding system the prices won't go down much on the higher category cabins. Maybe in the past but I don't see that happening anymore.

i have been looking at this sailing and the breakaway. Today I checked and the Escape to Bermuda is now only a 5 Days cruise. Did this change recently or was it always 5 days and I just wasn't paying attention?

Nope didn't work. We tried it a couple of times when it was just us on the elevator.

I went on the BreakAway and I wouldn't take a 7 year old. But that's my personal opinion and others may feel differently.
