Thanks, we will be there from 11:00 for 6 hours. I haven't seen any reports on jellyfish, but will keep looking.

We will be in Katakolon for a couple of hours in July. We don't plan on using any transport, and will be walking where we would like to be. We would like to spend some time on the beach and was wondering if going to Agios Andreas was worth walking the 3km, or rather enjoy Plakes beach. We are walking/running fit, and there will be 2 teenagers in our party.

Good day,
Wander if someone can help me. We will be going on the eastern mediterranean cruise that will be docking at Sarande, Albania for a few hours in July. I am looking for the prices that the Poesia charges for all the excursions when you book on the cruise itself and not before the time. Has anybody been on this cruise in the last few months and can help with prices please.

60 days and counting down. Super excited.

Please don't just spend your time shopping you are visiting the cradle of civilisation, see and understand the history of where you are. You can buy a handbag anywhere.

We are definitely going for the history, enjoying and learning everything we can about the cities, people and culture. As this would probably be the only time we will be visiting we would love to bring something home to remind us of the amazing time we had.
Thanks for all the information on where to look for clothes, shoes & jewelry. Looks like we will definitely find something in Mykonos or Plaka, but will explore all our options.

Good day, we are super excited going on our first cruise seeing a part of Greece in July. We have read alot about each port and what to see and do.
It will be the first time our teenagers will see europe, and they are really very excited.
I have a question in regards of shopping. Where would be the most value for money shopping for shoes, clothes, bags and jewelery. I heard that Mykonos can be expensive. We would like to bring home some beautiful, traditional items.
I will also appreciate ideas, looking for the smaller, family shops.

Hi everyone,
Need a bit of advice please. We will be on the MSC Splendida in less then a week. This cruise was a gift, and unfortunately our time to read-up on the towns, what to see & do was very limited, also because of other responsibilities.
I know everyones taste differs as well as ideas of what to see and do. That I understand, but could appreciate everyones ideas.
a. I would like to know what each of these towns (Genoa, Naples & Messina) has to offer on sights. We will probably be on foot, and might take a train or two if needed.
b. And then also something different;-)
What is unique to the are to buy? (Like the glass products from Venice)
We will have a few hours in every town.
* Genoa - 7 hours
* Naples - 5 hours
* Messina - 5 hours
Thanks for all the input, I so appreciate all the information.

If anyone wants it, I can mail it, but as I said, it is written in Dutch.
I also have such document on the itinerary of NCL Epic: Barcelona-Livorno-Chivitavechia-Napels-Palma de Mallorca-Marseille, I did this cruise in 2013. Also written in Dutch.

Hello, I'm new here but also cruising the Splendida in 3 weeks. Thanks for al the info, glad I've joined cruise critic just in time :)
Drakie, I'm boarding the Splendida in Genua on the 26th of october, are you on board in that week?
No, we are boarding in Barcelona on the 17th of October. Still a bit unsure about the towns we will be visiting, and what we intend to see. This cruise is a surprise gift that we received, and unfortunately our time for research is limited. So hopefully we will see as much as we can of each town. Have read about every bit of information on this forum, and also the tips everybody has been giving.
Making lots of notes along the way.Thanks again for all the information.:)

Can't wait! Hope the weather will be fine, but are prepared for anything;-)

Hi,
We will be going on our first boat cruise in October and can't wait. Very excited but a bit nervous too. I just have a few questions and was hoping for a bit of advice and information.
* Can you please tell me the times for the 1st & 2nd seating in the MDR?
* Also is it possible to tell me which areas or activities are not free (I know the spa, 4D & formula 1 is not free)
* We will be at the following ports: Marseilles, Genoa, Naples, Messina & La Goulette. Is all of these towns in easy walking distance from the port or will we need to use a taxi or shuttle?
Thanks for the information and help. Can't wait to board the MSC Splendida, and counting the days:D

Thanks for the detail. We will also be doing the same itinerary. Would it be possible to give me the prices on the Sarande excursions? We were thinking of doing the scenic, nature route.
