Agree, the Diamond Lounge is in a poor location.  It's like being in a basement with no windows.  But if I recall correctly that is also where it was on Harmony, I could be wrong.  I liked the Mex Food place on Deck 15 but like you said, the short open hours are inadequate.

While I'm in a complaint mood :),   what is the point of the library on the Central Park?  Its basically empty shelves, and the shelves are not really designed for books.  I wondered if it's just a temp library intended for something else.

I would say the library is just a quiet space. We played cribbage a few times there when no one was reading. Libraries on Holland America were much better.

  2. Flying to & from Miami was frustrating. Delays, cancellations, etc. Leaving home 4:30am arriving hotel at Miami hotel 1am next day.

    EMBARKATION; quick.

    FOOD:

Main dining room; good food & service. Usually took an hour for dinner. Breakfast was also fast and good selection

Windjammer: ate breakfast one day; eggs watery, crowded. Good selection at lunch.

El Loco: burritos hard, everything else good. Ate lunch twice.

Cafe Promenade: quick place for a sandwich & dessert. Never very busy.

    CABIN: standard balcony

Smallest cabin we have ever had.

    Would prefer drawers to shelves.

Balcony: okay size but didn’t care for straight back chairs.
Had excellent room attendant. Brought ice every day, paper copy of cruise compass, also gave us 2 robes.

    ENTERTAINMENT:

Aqua Show & Ice Skating show excellent.

Lots of bars with music, usually crowded.

    FINDING A LOUNGE CHAIR:

impossible after 8 am even in solarium, except for last day when weather  was cool, windy & cloudy

CROWDS: generally not a problem. Elevators & special sells were the exception.

OVERALL: Enjoyed being out of cold weather. Service was good. Seemed to “nickel and dime” for so many things.Ship geared more to families & a little larger than I would prefer. First time on Royal after 12 cruises on other lines. Probably would not sail on Royal again.

  3. I redeemed points near the first of March for January 2023 cruise. As of this date, they haven’t been applied to my cruise planner. I want to use some for a shore excursion. I called Bank of America; they transferred me to Royal. Royal said to call B of A. Does anyone have a phone number that will get me to the correct person? Thanks for your assistance.

  4. We have been on airboat tours in the past so are looking for other ideas of what to do/see in the Everglades or surrounding area, We will have one and a half days before our flight. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Time of year and specific date can have a huge impact on hotel rates. When are you traveling?

Naples itself is interesting. The drive across and back can be a bit strenuous. I would not likely do it if I were driving across to get on a plane.

January 2023,  flight at 7:30 pm on Monday

  6. We have stayed in Miami/Ft.Lauderdale quite a few times pre and post cruise and usually stay close to the port(s). This time, I am asking for suggestions for post cruise. The ship returns to Miami on a Sunday; our flight is late on Monday. We will have a rental car. Looking for hotel recommendations anywhere in the area and no more than $250. Are there area around Miami to avoid? Would a trip to Naples be worth it? What about areas north of Ft. Lauderdale?

Thanks in advance for your assistance
