The bridge pictured above has it supports in shallow water. No vessel big enough to hurt it would run aground before it got there.

Does anyone know the reason for the half-day in San Juan? I've always just assumed it had to do with travel time between ports & not burning fuel racing to the next stop.
I agree, the city deserves a full day.
It depends on what port you are coming from and where your going next.
When I lived in Ct and were doing the longer cruises from Bayonne, if our first stop was Haiti, we could get there in 2 days. If the first stop was San Juan, it was about 5 more hours, so we get there in the early afternoon, because that was how long it took to get there.
So if you leave early, you need that time to get to the next port. If you really want to spend more time there, fly down and start your cruise from there.

I have seen reports that there are only 700-800 guests onboard for the current Dubai to Cape Town sailing. If true that must be one spacious ship! 🙂
I didn't think that cruise was offered for booking to new passengers.

I just read where the first ship had arrived in Baltimore since the accident. I thought they were only allowing the “trapped” ships to exit. Didn’t realize they were allowing new ships to enter the harbor.
That gets the port some business till they can open the deep channel.

The safety concern is lint buildup in the dryer ducts catching fire.

When I bought my 2010 fusion, I could have had for just a couple of K more a mustang V8 , I always regret my decision but at the time wanted a four door and without a doubt would have had way more speeding tickets if I bought the mustang,
Only had one, a Georgia super speeder. I was used to our 75mph Fl speed limit on I95, so I didn't think 85mph was particularly fast.
When I retired in Ct, I had a 4wd Ranger lease, so I turned it in for a Mustang. They has a GT but I didn't like the color, and they had 3 others, only one a manual, V6 coupe. so I got it.. Couple of years later , I was sitting at home, DW was off on a medical mission to Bolivia , I decided a V6 just did not sound right. And I wanted a convertible. Just so happened the dealer had a nicely equipped one on the lot. Coyote V8 with a 6 speed stick. Wife was surprised
with this shiny new convertible sitting in the garage when she got home. And it sounded just right. But I turned 80 last year, and sometimes my legs get sore, so I drive the fusion. We have a decision to make. Trade the Mustang, or get rid of both and get an SUV, and save on insurance.

Not sure what you mean by "proposal". Did you mean "disposal"? Or maybe "propulsion"?

I also thought about that afyer I posted. I use a rollator to get around ,and was in Ireland and the sidewalks were cobblestones and it was difficult, i can't imagine having a device that you sit on in that situation. It's neem a long time since I cruised to those ports, but I would have been more mobile at that point in time.

My father needs a lightweight, foldable scooter to do excursions in Mykonos, Santorini and Naples. I need lightweight and foldable as these ports require him to use a tender. I have called both Scoot Around and Special Needs and neither rent these types of Scooters to international ports. HELP!!!!!! Any suggestions where or how I can rent a lightweight, foldable scooter?
On that same note, I need a company that won't charge and arm and a leg for an accessible excursion to these cities.
PLEASE HELP!
Your best bet might be to look on Amazon to buy one. Could be cheaper and you will always have it.

No sailings are presently scheduled for Florida. Schedule I see runs to Feb 2026.

Looks like Odyssey will not be sailing from south Florida any more. All US cruises will be from Bayonne.

If the person agreed on a price and paid a deposit, how can the cruise line charge the customer more money now. The cruise line should eat that increase , not charge the customer when a new invoice should they?
Depends on how your contract is worded. They can now pass increased fuel cost if oil reaches a certain price. Maybe it is the same for these prices also, or not. You would have to read the contract to be sure.

As long as the boarding pass is on his phone, or a paper copy, he will be OK.
They will scan you and the kids that are with you, and when he gets there he can scan his. He can then bing aboard just like always.

Isn't max capacity defined as the amount of room in all lifeboats. In that case, all passengers have a lifeboat seat.

I found out this weekend that a bad computer mouse can bring down your computer. I use a laptop computer, light and portable, but I use a wireless mouse and keyboard. The mouse has been misbehaving, a single click made multiple things happen. Like reading here in a thread, but a click to go back one step goes back more.
Anyway way, now the thing wasn't doing anything. Couldn't click out of a window. My computer has a touch screen. I tried that. Finally had to turn the power off. Restarted and it didn't get any better. I am thinking the computer is broke. Fortunately , I have another mouse, although it has no keyboard which is why I don't use it. The computer now working again. Off to Best Buy and got a new set.
