  1. Forgive me, if this has been asked a hundred times before. I tried to find the info but no luck. How much soda can one bring on the ship at embarking? What is the best way to carry it on? Backpack, suitcase, bag, box... Thank you - with or without Diet Pepsi, I will be on the Disney Wonder in 13 days!!

  2. I have been unable to get onto several sites on DCL web page for quite awhile now. Just keep getting the 7 dwarves picture and a message saying: “We’re Working On It”, then “This page is temporarily unavailable. Rest assured we’ll fix the issue soon so please try again”. I get some things just fine. Of course the one I need right now, isn’t available. Any suggestions?

  3. First time on Royal Caribbean. Trip is a year away yet, but I have been looking at all that the Allure has to offer. Although I cannot make show reservations yet, wondering if there is a charge for the shows, especially the big Broadway shows, ice skating shows, water shows?

Also, just a double check, we cannot bring any sodas or water on board or chargers without surge protectors?

Excited for this cruise. It looks like a lot of fun.

  4. I just booked the Disney Wonder Alaska, August 2018, 2 children & 2 adults for $8,467.16. That only includes insurance and that is an inside stateroom. No air fare, no pre/post Hotels, no gratuities, no excursions. For us, it will be more about the ship and less about excursions. The boys just opened this gift, and they are so excited. Makes it worth it. Merry Christmas!

  5. I know that there were a lot of cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico, on many different cruise ships, right now. Where are the ships at now? Cruise ports are destroyed. Some ports have hurricanes barreling down on them...cruises maybe we're cancelled, but seems like the ships must have gone somewhere safe. Just curious.

  6. I am a Newporter, me thinks you're planning too much for one day, however your mileage will depend on your stamina. As someone suggested take a taxi to the Breakers and be there at 9 AM when it opens. Touring the cottage will take 1-1/2 hour or more depending on your interest. Suggest you then walk back north on Cliff Walk (behind the Breakers) to 40 Steps at Narraganset Ave. (About an hour or 3/4 mile, passing Salve Regina Un and several summer mansions.) Exit the Cliff Walk then walk west to Bellevue Ave. The Elms should be in front of you on Bellevue. After touring the Elms (about 1-1/2 hour) grab a taxi or the 67 bus back to the center of town. Many restaurants in the center of town. After lunch walk about the colonial houses in the center of the town. When you get tired the tender boats will be right there in the center of the town.

Can you see the mansions from the Cliff Walk?

  7. Enjoy Alaska. One can never get too much of the majesty of that great state. I was born and raised there and I am always in awe every time I visit. And yes, I have even cruised there. Spend as much time outdoors as you can - keep your camera with you at all times. Never know when a whale will pop up, or a moose will walk down Main Street or a glacier will calve.

  8. Flying down on September 8 to take a cruise on the 9

Any suggestions for an overnight stay.....

    Thanks Julie

We stayed at the Best Western Condado Palms. Very nice. Full breakfast. 1 block to beautiful beach. And Walgreens is across the street( bought our sodas there to take on board). Next day shuttle took us to the ship.

  9. Going on our first Alaskan cruise this summer. Very excited! Knowing that salmon is extremely popular in Alaska. Will Princess be offering lots of dining choices with salmon?

Just got off the Ruby Princess yesterday - Seattle to Skagway and back - and I assure you there was salmon. Salmon fixed in many ways, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was served in the dining rooms and buffet. Along with a lot of other seafood...enjoy.
