Ooooh - where was that? sounds like EXACTLY my type of excursion. :)
Went on a river bamboo raft excursion in Jamaica. Our guide cut open a cacao pod for us and we got to taste it. He also gave us a river mud leg massage. When he found out that we were teachers, he gave us a very informative and interesting ride down the river.

Harbor House is really close to the cruise terminal. Not sure about parking. It’s within walking distance. The cruise ships go past Harbor House docking at the terminal. I guess you can contact them and ask. EZ Cruise parking is across from the terminal and then there’s cruise parking.

Love the Alchemy Bars. I like to tell them what I like and watch them concoct a special drink just for me. Then, when I go back later, they remember how to make it again. It's entertaining to watch them at their jobs. A bartender may be working on 4-5 drinks at one time. Amazes me that he/she remembers what goes in which glass. Love to hang out there.

I have tried emailing twice for this excursion. Each time they said that it was too early to book for June 2018. I really want to do this one. Been to Alaska three other times but did not know about this excursion

I was on the Freedom also for that week. I again thought that the food was really good. Ate in the MDR every night. The only food that disappointed me was a lobster roll from the Seafood Shack. Long wait and it wasn't good at all. Service was great everywhere else. Love the Mongolian Wok for lunch. The Alchemy Bar was the best. Marina, Zsolt, and Janelle made the best off the menu drinks. I just told them what I liked and a drink was made.

I always take a curling iron. I never leave it plugged in. I use it, unplug, and put it in a special holder. Never had a problem.

You must also have closed toe shoes. No sandals or flip flops. It's a worth while tour.

Did this excursion twice. Both times took the train up and bus down. First time we went to the suspension bridge after the train ride. The second trip, we stopped at Liarsville for a show and salmon bake. I recommend going to Liarsville.

Had the best time on the Liberty at the Alchemy Bar. The bartenders were so entertaining to watch and interact with each time I was there. The drinks were great. If you don't see something on their drink menu, talk to them about making your own version. One of them made a drink for me that I ordered several times. Enjoy your cruise.

Celebration July 14, 2003, out of Galveston with hurricane Claudette in our path. Rough sailing the first night.

I use an old AARP card then hide the card in the room. That way if a cabin mate needs to get into the safe when no one else is in the cabin, they can gain access to it.

I get a plastic gift card. Takes usually about a week to get it. I know that I'm going to sail on Carnival again in the future, so I purchase the gift card. It hasn't been a problem to use them. I am keeping the used ones to use as decorations on a cruise themed Christmas tree in the future.

I usually cruise at least one time a year, so each month I buy a $100 gift card. I add them to my S&S account especially if we purchase the drinks package. I try to get them through Verizon's Smart Rewards, but I have ordered through Carnival also. They can load them most times when you check in. I like knowing that I won't have a huge bill at the end of my cruise.

Just off the Liberty. The American Table was a hit and miss. Liked some things and did not like others. I did not starve. One night I ordered just appetizers because I didn't like any of the main entrees. I did miss the tablecloths. I don't like the condensation from my glasses, but it isn't a deal breaker for me. Usually don't have tablecloths at the restaurants I frequent here at home. I will fold a paper napkin and place it under my glass, even at my house. Had the later seating and the MDR was pretty empty around us. Had 3 wonderful guys who took excellent care of us. Service was not slow. Three people at our small table did not show up any night. We had 3 people from a nearby table join us one night because we were having such a great time. Sometimes it is what you make of it. The Alchemy Bar staff was phenomenal. Annemarie, Juluya, and Csaba were absolutely entertaining. I would love to go back just for that experience.

Sailed with Carnival many times with a co-worker(we were both Platinum) until she went on a Baltic cruise that I did not sail with her. She was told that she had to put her luggage out the night before because of some kind of shuttle situation. That was the last time she saw her luggage. She had to argue with Carnival many, many times to get more than $50 that was offered to her. She lost all her clothes and all of her souvenirs from the many ports she visited. She was tired of being told that there wasn't anything that Carnival could do for her. She finally received a fair compensation for her belongings but not without much aggravation, time, and stress. From then on, she would not sail on a Carnival cruise ship and never put out luggage again. We cruised again but with Norwegian and Princess. Unfortunately, she was undergoing chemo treatments for breast cancer at the time all of this was happening which added to her stress. She and I took our last cruise together in March 2015 before she passed away in June 2015. I now with take my luggage off the ship and will not put it out the night before we disembark.

As soon as I know my booking number, I start filling out my check-in info. Nerdy, I know but am too excited about cruising again. :D

Which balcony cabin, preferably midship, is great to book on Carnival Magic? Need to book soon for next year. Thanks for responses.

Thoroughly enjoyed the salmon bake in June at Liarsville after our train ride. It was cooked on an open flame pit. Best salmon I ever had. Tastes so much better than salmon from the grocery store.

Stevie Wonder was on stage at the end of a show and sang a couple of songs.

Does anyone know where you can buy the liquid ice cream mix that Carnival uses in their Mocha Chocolate Getaway? Thanks.

Before I had the plastic luggage tags, I used packing tape to connect the ends together. Of course I covered the tags in packing tape first.
