  1. I'm a frequent cruiser.  I'm considering taking a Costa Cruise for the first time.  I went onto their website and noticed that the excursion prices weren't displayed.  I'm trying to get a sense if Costa's excursions were more or less expensive than other cruise lines like MSC, Holland America or Norwegian.  Thanks in advance for your help!

  2. I am booked on MSC for December (after Norwegian cancelled on me).  The cruise has not been cancelled yet.  I don't know what to do.  My final payment is due next week.  From my reading of the US State Department websites, both Argentina and Uruguay are closed to tourists.  I already cancelled and lost airfare as I had originally also booked a few days in Chile too.  Chile is closed.   Also, how does the cruise line handle COVID testing upon arrival at each port?  The messaging I've gotten is inconsistent and unclear.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

  3. I am scheduled to leave on a cruise out of Dubai (UAE) on Saturday.  I am well traveled, having been to 52 countries.  My 17 year old son is going with me.  Two people have come to me in the last day and told me not to go.  One (a female friend) used to live in Syria and the other (a male coworker) is Ukrainian.  My cruise also goes to Abu Dhabi, Doha (Qatar), Manama (Bahrain) and Muscat (Oman).  I don't want to stoke any fears, and I know there are no guarantees in life.  I'm looking for some reassurance as to why I shouldn't worry OR some sincere advice not to go.  Please help!  I'm emotionally drained thinking about this.  Any recent cruisers have feedback about the current situation with cruising in the middle east?  Thanks in advance for your help!

  4. I had the same thing in mind. We will be docked in Toulon and we were thinking of renting a car and going to MONACO. Am I crazy for even thinking about this? We are in port from 9am to 6pm. Also is driving in southern France easy or difficult to find your way around?
