Thanks Vic for the help.....but it still isn't working. I can get the "smiles" to work in the "Title" area but not in the message area. My smiles are down at the bottom of the "Reply to Thread" and under that area is the "additional Options. I do not have a check mark in the "Disable smiles in Text" I have tried the click and drag, the copy and paste. Is there something in the "set up" mode that I need to change?

What about your options? Before you hit reply at the very bottom of the screen there are some posting rules - make sure the smilies are ON.

Weel I understood most of initals....what I don't understand is how you get the smiley faces to appear in your message. I can only get them to appear in the title. Please help

To the right of where you are posting is the "smilies". Just click on one of them at the point you wish to add it :D and voila - there it is!

I would agree that Butchart Gardens fireworks are well worth it, but if you sail at 12 you don't really have time to do this. The fireworks don't start till around 9 or so and the traffic getting out afterwards is horrendous. I agree with winterblues, Milestones is a great place to go for dinner. That or the Wharfside. Both are on the water - so definately try for a window seat. (Those are the two places in town that we would take a visitor to). From there you can walk up Government Street or down to the Parliament buildings and the Empress Hotel. The walk is a short one, so you could manage both.

Depending on the time of year you're coming, in the summer months the inner harbour has a lot of entertainment by way of street entertainers. Even as a local, we like to go and check this out at least once or twice a year.
