  1. my wife and i cruised on Oasis in March in a crown loft and loved it so much we rebooked while on board for a crown loft on Harmony in November.  the suite lounge on Oasis offered free beer and wine each day from 11am to 11pm, does anybody know if the same is true for Harmony?

  2. My wife kids and I just got off the dawn last Sunday. We had the most amazing vacation ever and found The crew on board to be absolutely amazing! We ate every breakfast and dinner at the Venetian restaurants and found the food to be very very good. My son has a peanut allergy so at every dinner service they would bring out the menu for the next night and we would pre-order his meal and I really felt that Norwegian and our waiter especially when out of their way to make sure he had everything he wanted. We also saw every show offered at the Stardust theater. They offered 2 shows every night at 7 and 9 p.m. Except for one night when the showtimes were 630 and 9 PM. We found the shows every night to be very very good with my favorites being Monday, band on the run and Friday The elements show!

  3. My wife and kids were also on this sailing, and although we didn't have Leo we also had the best waiter we've ever had on a cruise at the Venetian restaurant (Ashton) we requested him for dinner every night and he truly went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. My son has a peanut allergy so we also would pre-order meals the night before and I felt Norwegian went out of their way to make sure he was taken care of! wish we were still onboard! Can't wait to read the rest

  4. 1. This one is rough, but we do it anyway. We get up and hit the bar as soon as it opens each day. We do this to keep a routine. It's the only reliable way to avoid a hangover.

    2. On warm sea days after a breakfast at Cagney's consisting of Bloody Marys and Crabcakes Benedict, we find two warm barstools on or near the pool deck. We commence to people watching and snickering under our breath. We try not to point. Usually will head back to the suite two-fisted for a nap.

    3. On port days, we hit the bar first thing before leaving to go ashore. A nice calm buzz is best. We also enjoy a room service breakfast, and we make sure to finish any leftover cocktails in the room before heading out.

quick question, where do we get crabcakes benedict?

  5. we do have Belize on the itinerary but probably foolishly we are planning on Harvest Cay being open. we cruise on Mar 27 and its supposed to be open in February, i have read all the reviews from others saying they have no confidence in it being open but we are keeping our fingers crossed.. if its not open what would you suggest?? also can we pre book Chankanaab, and Blue Kay or just pay when we get there??

Mitsugirly, never mind, i reread a couple of your reviews, i know or at least am hopeful that Blue Kay is still free minus food and drink, and then i read about your trip with the sharks which sounds really exciting. thank you again for all of your reviews.

  6. Woo hoo! Congrats on getting the courage to adventure out on your own. Seriously, it's easily done and a great way to experience things cheaper, with added time, and places that the cruise lines don't go to.

I think you have picked some great and super easy places to do on your own. You will be fine. :)

The places you mentioned is the typical Western side Caribbean ports...but you seem to be missing Belize. Is it on this iteneray? What...you don't want to swim with the sharks this time around? :D :p Just kidding with you.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL time! Come back and let me know how it goes.

    You are very welcome. :)

  7. , i just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work on the reviews that you have done. my family and i have spent hours reading just about every review that you have done and love everyone of them. we will be cruising on the Dawn 3/27 cruise to the carribean. i feel that we are good experienced travelers with good common sense but we have always booked our excursions through the cruise line thinking that was the safe secure way which it probably is but we pay a premium for that and lose time at every port, but after reading your extensive reviews we have decided to venture out on our own!!! your reviews of Chankanaab, LFK, and Blue Kay has us sold and we are looking forward to seeing these places for ourselves!! thanks again

  8. Just got off the phone and I couldn't be happier. We sail 1/10/16 and I just upgraded our room from an inside room on deck 12 to a window room on deck 8 for $11.08. Yup $11.08. The room has an obstructed view so I will prolly be looking a a life boat but I will have daylight! For the price I am totally happy. They told me I could go to a balcony for $500 or a mini suite for $600 if anyone is interested.

the price you listed for the balcony and the mini suite, was that the total price for your party, or per person? who did you call to inquire about the upgrades? my family is cruising in march and are definitely hoping for an upgrade. thanks for the info
