  1. Hi Chris, I've been following your review from the start. I've very much enjoyed all of your pictures and commentary. Thank you for taking the time to post. I am a little sad to see it coming to an end, but I am glad to have found a great reviewer. I look forward to your next cruise so we can follow along again.

I've enjoyed Gibbs as well. I was a little nervous that he decided to abandon the cruise in Labadee as we did not see him for a few days after that.

We are going on our very first cruise next month . . . on Quantum. I have two questions I hope you can answer:

    1. Are the signature dishes at the comp. restaurants included? They seem to be a little fancier so I was not sure.

    2. Were you able to book any onboard activities prior to your cruise? I've been logging on daily, so far the only thing that shows up is the tour of the ship.

Thanks again for your wonderful review.

  2. Hi. We will be in Dubai for two days at start of our cruise. Wondering if it is usual practice to have the drill on embarkation day or the day we depart for seas. Wanting to use our time wisely.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi. Thanks for all your responses.

As I had mentioned, we will be in port in India for two days. I was going to apply for a single entry tourist visa. Is this correct? Will we only need to go through customs once or each time we get off the ship? Thanks.

  4. Hi Soccerref,

Thanks so much for your reply. The visa thing was really starting to stress me out . . . so I am glad I finally have it complete.

We are very much looking forward to our trip and we hope it is all we have imagined.

    Happy Holidays.

  5. Hi All,

Will be traveling on the Quantum of the seas in summer 2015 during the Dubai to Singapore leg. We require a tourist visa for India and I am currently preparing to submit application for same. Part of the application requires a reference in India. We will be staying on the ship while we are there. I called Royal Caribbean to get the reference information. They did not know it. They told be to call CIBT a company who prepares India tourists visas for them, they also did not know.

Has anyone been in this situation before? Any ideas where to get this information?

Your help is very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards and Happy Holidays.

  6. Hi All,

Preparing for our first ever cruise on Quantum of the Seas. I was excited to log onto the cruise planner to start booking activities/entertainment but have been unable to do same since it is still a very long time until our cruise (May 29th).

I have been able to book restaurant reservations from the start but I did not do so at first because I thought "how will I know what we are going to want to eat before the time comes." After reading a bit here on the forums, I have discovered it is a good idea to book early, so I went online to book at the formal restaurant . . . nothing available for the entire 14 day cruise :(. I know this dynamic dining is new to you all, even the RC loyalist, but does anyone know if there is anything we can do? I would like to have at least one formal evening.

    Thanks so much.
