Cruise Celebrity 3 times a year and play craps each time. Always been double odds on my $10 pass line bet. That's not great but twice as good as the single odds you mention.

I even spoke to the boxman and casino host to politely say "Come on, dude" and was met with a smile and a "Not our decision, above our pay grade". No way I'm playing $25 on the pass unless I'm on a hot roll so I mostly stuck with single odds.
    Very aggravating.

And don't get me started on the rake they take on the poker game, it's larcenous.

  2. Butterfly0822 hit it right on the head about the poker table.

As for craps there is one table that usually has a $10 minimum. The problem is they only allow double odds or more behind the pass line if you bet at least $25 on the pass. If you play $10 you're only allowed single odds. Gotta pay close attention to the payouts as the dealers are often inexperienced and the boxman might not notice any mistakes.

.How about some Reggae/ Marley,   Beatles, Queen, Moody Blues,  Tom Petty,  Jimmy Buffet,  mowtown, country, blue grass ,  folk,  rock, jazz and blues..???

True story from our cruise back in October on the Reflection: I'm at the pool reading a book by Dylan's girlfriend from the Village. She's describing a trip she took on an ocean liner in 1962 to Italy and she was trying to teach the guitarist on board her boyfriend's new song, Blowing in the Wind. As I'm reading this the guitarist at the pool says he was supposed to play instrumental music be he feels like singing a bit. He starts with Blowing in the Wind.

“To each their own” is just a cute way of judging someone else’s decisions similar to when one insults someone but prefaces it by saying “no offense but”.  Anything that comes before or after any of those words probably isn’t nice.

Right up there with "Bless your heart".

Just got off the Reflection on November 2. Are Angela and Dave Clarke still the CD and Activity Manager ? We just loved them.

We were on the same transatlantic as you and also loved Angela and Dave. The rest of the activities team were, let's say, underwhelming.

Bring muscle ointment, maybe Ace bandages.  Some people overplay their ability in a new setting, easy to get caught up in the competition.  Especially after a few drinks.

Know where sick bay is and how to call for medical help for sprains, bruises (some caused by partner's racket), pulled muscles, etc.

Sounds like fun, until it isn't.  I've witnessed several players getting hurt on a ship's court, so be aware and play just for fun.

You sure you're talking about pickleball? I've seen better workouts at the shuffleboard court (which, btw, Celebrity should find room for).

Maybe if Celebrity " introduced " the bellyflop contest, the drink 14 beers through a funnel contest, the Congo line around the pool, the dancing Waiters with baked Alaska on their heads ,and the finale-- the singing of " We Are Zeee Worl " ( We are the world ) there wouldn't be such negativity ?

I would put up with a lot for a decent Baked Alaska but I think a waiter carrying it on his head is a State too far.

  8. I just can't justify the rates they charge for a suite. I'm sure the Retreat is wonderful but I just can't seem to pull the trigger on the price tag. It's all individual, of course, and maybe one of these days I'll bite the bullet and splurge. My fear is it'll be like being upgraded to first class-once you experience it it's hard to go back to coach with the hoi polloi. Best to stick with my veranda (SV on Edge Class) and not realize what I'm missing.
