  1. I am wondering if the Magic Carpet Sky Suites on Beyond have beds that face the window?  A friend really wants one that does.  Also, for the cabins on each end of the four in a row Sky Suites on the Magic Carpet, is there an extra window on the side where it juts out?  For example, cabins 8210 and 8220?

    Thanks!

You both have to choose the same O Life perk

the O Life beverage package is for wine by the glass/beer  at lunch & dinner only

    see the fine print

"OLife Choice beverage package amenity is House Select. Guests in the same stateroom must choose the same OLife Choice amenity, and amenity must be chosen by final payment."

You can buy the beverage package on it own  but both do not need to buy the package as on other lines

Thank you for your response.  That is what I thought, but when I spoke to Oceania today, the agent said that both don't need to purchase it!  So I think we will find out when we try!

  3. Hi,

I am considering cruising in one of the larger forward facing oceanview cabins on deck 11 on the Koningsdam, which are under the Crow's Nest.  They are extra large cabins, but I am concerned about noise from the Crow's Nest above.  Do any of you who have stayed in these cabins have any advice?  I'm a little concerned about the motion as well, being all the way forward.  But the cabin size is enticing!

    Thanks!

It was easy. However, since there are multiple nationalities on a cruise, the initial info told us to get a visa. We were quite upset thinking that we needed to get the visa before the cruise. It wasn’t until much later that we got the info specifically for US/Canada citizens.

That is where I am at right now, wondering if I have to get a Visa because I am taking private excursions and not ship excursions.

  5. I just called Celebrity, and they said if you have private excursions booked, then they can't guarantee that you will be able to get the $6 Visa onboard.  Therefore, they recommend getting the Visa ahead of time.  Is this a tactic to get people to book the ship excursions?  We are just doing day trips in the ports - no overnights.

  6. I'd do it now - looks like they are going up.

As you get ready for your upcoming cruise, we wanted to let you know that we've updated our daily gratuity rates. The new rates will be applied to all sailings from 2 January 2018 onwards. Anyone booked prior to 2 January 2018, will have until the time of their sailing to pay their gratuities at the old rate.

If you've prepaid your gratuities, you will not be effected by this price change.

If you've not yet prepaid your gratuities, you can still pay the original rates by prepaying them before 2nd January 2018. If you pay your gratuities on board, you will pay the new rates.

    New Gratuity Rates:

    • Interior, Ocean View and Balcony staterooms will change from $13.50 to $14.50 per day, per guest.

    • Concierge Class and AquaClass® staterooms will change from $14.00 to $15.00 per day, per guest.

    • Suite Class accommodations will change from $17.00 to $18.00 per day, per guest.

Gratuities are shared by our exceptional onboard dining and culinary services team, stateroom attendants, other housekeeping services personnel, as well as staff from other departments who work behind the scenes to enhance your cruise experience.

If you've already prepaid your gratuities or decide to prepay them before you set sail, you will not be charged any additional automatic daily gratuities once on board the ship.

Other onboard gratuity policies remain the same: an 18% gratuity is automatically added to bar service beverages; specialty dining reservations, and mini bar items and will be itemised on your receipt.

  7. This is what I attempted to do today too for our flight January 12 from Vancouver, Canada to Miami via Dallas. Same thing, they will waive the change fee but the difference in fare is almost $800.00 per person just to stop in MIA. Crazy.

Hi - we are in the same boat, so to speak. Are you on the Summit Jan 13? I am also flying to SJU on the 12th from Vancouver. I empathize! :(

  8. When I go into the booking, I see $550 obc. When you're traveling with a friend, normally the obc is divided up. So $150 obc per person as opposed to $300 on one person from Go Best. And the booking onboard obc is normally assigned to the person that booked onboard. I haven't gone in to actually book anything as I don't need to, but is it now all pooled together so each guest can dip into it? That may cause problems when you're not dealing with a couple. Is it divided up when you go to book like it normally is?
