So sorry about your loss, but glad you splurged with your mom. I did the same thing with my 82 yr old mom on the same cruise (first leg of yours-we were in c704) who had never stayed in a balcony cabin. You never know when tragedy will strike and gotta make the most of the time we have here with our loved ones.

Got off caribbean princess last week and really glad I fought my upgrade from caribe to aloha. Really enjoyed the large caribe balcony and the covered/uncovered aspect. Great to have the extra room for room service breakfast! Had c704 (aft location), no issues with movement or noise from the elevators. Would book this location again in a heartbeat.

Hi. Total cruise newbie here. Booked on caribbean princess in c201, and just got an upgrade to a605. It's a much better location mid ship, but aloha's balconies seem to be much smaller than caribe's. Booked this as a surprise 80th bday gift for my mom, who cruises frequently but always gets a mid ship inside cabin. She doesn't have any mobility issues, so IMO the extra walking won't be a big deal for her, but 201 is pretty far forward.

Should I decline? Per the princess website, c234 looks avail -maybe I ask for that instead? Thanks!
