FYI--Under Florida law they can't boot you out of a hotel once you've checked in unless you have been there over 30 days or you stop paying for the room.

If you are in a red flood zone near tidal surge they will evacuate that hotel and move people out, sometimes even using school buses to take you to shelters at schools and make you leave your vehicles there to flood. I saw this happen with in fort Myers on the river two years ago.

Having never been in any kind of major storm (I live in Arizona) can I ask any of you that have to help me. I’m not only worried about my cruise anymore I’m more worried about taking my

kids to a place that has a CAT 3 Hurricane on its way. Have a hotel at cocoa beach should we move more inland? What do you do?

Do what's best for your family..book inland near a hospital..most electrical systems near hospital are less vulnerable to outrage. The hotels at beach will evacuate due to possible flooding.
