  1. I think I've come to the conclusion that guarantee rooms are not for me........this waiting is making me a bit crazy:o. And have probably at least a week wait yet since the cruise is still 16 days away.

5 times in a guaranteed cabin on HAL in the last 4 years... we have never been disappointed yet. Such a savings and so worth it in our opinion. Yes, the waiting is the hardest part. Hint, if you go on Travelocity and search room categories it shows the availability in different cabins that are not always shown on HAL website. This sleuthing has never let us down...

  2. Cruising in a month and have booked a guaranteed Neptune Suite. First cruise we booked a balcony, took upsell to Neptune. Next cruise, we booked specific balcony, didn't take an upsell. Third cruise we booked a specific balcony, and didn't get an upsell email, so two days before I called as I knew there were suites available. I was told that I had received the email upsell that day. Nope, never came to this day. Not sure why it didn't arrive as I get emails constantly from HA. Anyway, ended up with a Signature suite and we were very happy. I'm assuming that this time our guarantee of a Neptune Suite shouldn't be a problem. It was a very low price we got and jumped at the last minute cruise opportunity. Aren't they all considered basically mid-ship?

In our experience you can't go wrong saving money on the guaranteed NEPTUNE SUITE. Basically the absolute worst thing that could happen is you were assigned one of the aft corner Neptunes or have a long walk to the Lounge. November will be our 6th guaranteed Neptune, never an issue, remember you will receive all the benefits of the Neptune Suite wherever you land ..

  3. We rent the retreat cabanas on every cruise. They are a perfect place to have privacy - some ships have showers and a private bathroom... get a rear facing cabana for the breeze - we found the side cabanas too warm. On occasion we asked and were allowed to move to one of the two family size cabanas on each side. The service is amazing !

  4. I watched a family of 4 place towels, magazines and flip flops on deck chairs near the aft pool. 20 minutes later they were on my shore excursion which was 4 hours long. They were joking to themselves about their big caper... They were saving the deck chairs at 9am for their return at 2pm. Rude beyond belief... And worse, parent showing the teenage children that this is appropriate conduct... nOW THTS RUDE
