When I was checking on the dinner times I asked about show times. The answer was 8pm and 10 pm

I also walk with the use of canes. I have my travel agent at time of booking to request assistance. As a rule, I just ask a Princess crew member where to get assistance and I am usually taken care of right away.

I guess I should count myself lucky. We were on the Royal, several years ago, and she had problems with the propulsion system in the middle of the Mediterranean. We manage to slowly make it to Naples. In Naples, they disembarked the whole ship. Princess made all our arrangements to travel home. They bused us to Rome. They had arranged a direct flight home to Toronto. In compensation, we received all our expenses paid including private tours we had booked in various ports. They arranged for a hotel room and all our meals in Rome were covered., transportation, the following morning to the airport. On arriving in Toronto, we had arranged for limo transportation to our home, covered. In addition, we were reimbursed the cost of the entire cruise and 25% off the next cruise on Princess. Thank You very much Princess.

When I travel, unless going to some place like China, I buy only trip cancellation and trip interruption. My Sunlife Extended Health Care covers travel insurance. My travel agent compared the coverage to other travel insurance policies and it was comparable.

From past experience, when booking a cruise on Princess, your FCC becomes your deposit. If you cancel, they refund you the $100, you don't lose it. What you do lose would be the OBC.

We just recently returned from a cruise on the Royal Princess. Our cabin steward open the balcony divider for us. On the Royal it folded right back against the cabin wall. On the Island we asked the divider to be opened also. It basically looked like the previous photo.

I used EZ air a few years back. We were told that there are 2 price ranges. 1 is restricted and will lock your price for your seat at the current price. The second price, flexible, doesn't guarantee you the booking price. They can change the price until you pay in full. Yes, it does allow you change or cancel up to final payment without penalty.

Sadly I can see where you would interpret the email to include mini suites. Amenities offered in the email are what is offered for suites. Mini suites are not considered a regular suite.

Hi..........just back from Med. Cruise. I just wanted to send in a recommendation for RIL. We used them for everything we did in Rome. Fabio was a great tour guide and for newbies to Rome he made sure we saw all the sights. On our day to Pompeii and the Amalfi coast from Rome, Fabio informed us about the region and showed us the sites with a great recommendation for lunch in Sorrento. We also did our airport and cruise port transfers through RIL. From the cruise ship, we toured Pisa and Florence, with Giovanni. Great day, great tour guide! Well done RIL!

In answer to the question about on board credit. I have bought on board credit on my last 2 cruises. I paid by credit card for the credit. On both occasions, I still had a credit at the end of the cruise. It was refunded to me by cheque in about 4 weeks post cruise.

When booking our upcoming cruise. we received $150.00 on board credit. It specified this OBC could not be used in the casino. I would think that any OBC you buy you would be able to access....just not what the cruise line gives.

We always do Early Traditional, confirmed for 6 pm. About 3 years ago on the Royal Princess was the first time we encountered a time change. Ever since, we have had, I believe, 5.45. We have not had a 6 pm sitting since then even though confirmed for 6 pm

Even though the carts do not bother me as they are not always in the same place any length of time, I do see where some might. I walk with a cane and use the hand rail for stability and wouldn't you know those carts like that hand rail too. You just learn to adjust and not let it bother you as there is fun ahead.

Several years ago, I got sick a week before sailing. All money was refunded in less than 1 week. We had, also, booked with an FCC. It took a while to figure out why we had $100 extra on our refund.........until we realized they had included our FCC in the refund. It was not put back into our Princess account.

We are doing a Carribean cruise in March. I called Princess and prepaid my gratuities. Princess charged me an exchange rate of 10%. The current rate at our banks in Ontario was almost 19% that day. Terri

My travelling companion also uses a cpap. Our cabin steward offered to get an extention cord for her.

Hi... I live close to Toronto too. I have used ezair but only because it was such a good deal. I prefer to book my own. I usually go to Toronto a day early and also fly to cruise port city a day or 2 early. It's the safest way and relieves some of the stress...... Terri

For me I have 2 minds. I love to see the formal dressed passengers but the luggage constraints make it difficult to dress formally. Also, because I might wear a formal gown once a year (when cruising) it is not economically viable to purchase a formal gown. So I " dress up " as much as my wardrobe allows . I haven't been turned away yet but I suppose there is always a first.

I purchsed the ultimate drink card and also paid my grauities in advance a few days ago. My drink package was charged at par in canadian dollars but the gratuities were charged in US dollars and my credit card company did the exchange. I actually talked to Princess by phone. The purchases apparently are made through 2 different departments.

2 years ago we had a cruise booked using a future cruise credit and paid in full. 2weeks before the cruise departure I was admitted to hospital and forced to cancel. Because we had trip cancellation we did get our money refunded. A small amount of reimbursement came from Princess. Thinking that our FCC would be returned to just that, we were surprised to see that in crediting our credit card we also received the FCC credited to the card. ...thus cancelling the FCC. We did not lose the $100 each
Change in Traditional Dining Times?
in Princess Cruises
Posted
I recently did a cruise on the Crown Princess. Originally our dining time was 6pm, which was too early for me to eat. I requested to be changed to 2nd seating and was accommodated. This presented a problem with the late show time. Dinner was never finished before 9 pm. Not 1 person at our table for 10 people was able to make any of the Princess Theatre show for 9.15. Our dining room was at the back of the ship and the theatre is at the front of ship. Very disappointed.
