  1. It seems you’re not getting much help so I thought I’d jump in!  We will be doing that next week…. From Piazzale Roma you can get a bus or train.  Bus is easiest, bit it only goes once a day: 5:30.  Trains run all day long, but you must transfer.  If you’re even a bit adventurous, it should be no problem.    If you’re.nervous about it, then go the private car route.  We are going a day ahead to Ravenna, so we don’t have to worry about the time.  We are also staying at a hotel in .Venice that is close to the train station , same in Ravenna.

check out rome2rio.com for specifics.  As opposed to the $300 mentioned in another post to you, plus the water taxi, the train is  about $17 to $35 per person.

If you want us to compare to other ceilings, you do need to tell us which sailing you’re looking at.

I actually am not asking for comparisons.  I see those on this site. I’m asking WHY!   Thanks

  3. I see people bidding under $100, maybe a little more for upgrade bids,  my cruise had the minimum bid, for weeks, for a veranda at $400.  MINIMUM.  It has now offered a 30% discount and minimum bid is $280.  Any ideas on why it is so much higher than other sailings?    There are loads of cabins in every category. Could it be that there are so many inside and ocean view that they don’t need to move guests out of these?

when I asked this weeks ago, people wanted to know which sailing.  I don’t think it matters, does it?

  4. Going through the check in process, I am filling out the health questionnaire and I come to the vaccination input.  I do everything and it reads… info being verified.  When I later go back to see it that part has a check, it seems to have reverted back to needing the input as if I had not yet entered it.  Anyone else find this?

  5. I got an offer today to move up.  I have been following the tracker topic so I think I know a bit , but just a bit.  The gauge started at at about $450 or so for the various categories.  On the tracker topic I saw many comments of being able to bid $100 or so for some cabin categories.  I don’t want to be too specific, but was mine higher because I have a pretty good deal on my current cabin?  So I guess I’m asking if each passengers gauge could be different for the same cruise, depending on what they paid?

  6. Maybe some of you have had experience:

I am ready to book my flights to Europe.  The price through Celebrity Air is very good.  I have an agent from a large online agency and I am very satisfied.  He can do the booking or I can do it online directly with Celebrity.  So the dilemma…..  Celebrity advises that booking with them (probably with or without agent), will help me if I have a problem during the flight.  Well, it is so hard to reach Celebrity when I don’t have a problem.  No call back, very long wait times; you all know the drill.  If I am in the midst of a problem and can’t reach them in a timely manner?
And will they talk to me?   Right now Celebrity refers me to my agent with any question.  Will they do the same with an air problem?  This just puts another layer in getting in touch.  Thanks for any advice.
