  1. I asked a representative at Princess. They have a specific email address for just such a request. AshesRequest@princess.com (I think, but might call Princess to confirm).

The Rules (as relayed to me by the representative)... The urn must be biodegradable. The contents of the urn must be biodegradable.

An Officer will escort you and your party to a private location, and, if available, a Chaplain would attend.

The ceremony must be conducted in international waters, however, not on an Alaskan Itinerary.

All you need to do is contact Princess and send an email with your itinerary and they will accomodate.

  2. We live quite close to San Pedro, CA, the port for Los Angeles. We glady plunked down $40.00 to take a friend with us. She drove us to the port and we all got to be the very first people to board. (Leaving for Hawaii on the Star Princess). Tracy (Future cruise sales) let us put our carry-ons in our staterooms and gave us all a wonderful tour of the ship. We had our choice of MDR or Horizon Court. We went for HC. Our friend got a nice photo and we had absolutely hassle free boarding. If you know of any near your embarkation port, it's well worth the $.

  3. Ask the Matre' D or Headwaiter. We met friends that were signed up for Anytime and our Headwaiter had no problems with our friends joining us at late seating or vice versa and joining them at Anytime...

You also have the alternative of eating in Horizon Court. Unless it's lobster night, you can generally get the same food in the buffet as in the Dining Room. We do this maybe once a cruise. Lot's the the entertainers eat dinner at the buffet and are usually very personable and approachable.
