I cancelled a cruise a week before sail date. All the costs except for insurance cost, fare and administrative fees were reimbursed to one of the credit cards I had on file. I received a cancellation invoice showing the fare and administrative costs. I submitted the cancellation invoice to insurance and received payment within two weeks. I used two cruise next certificates and the value of the certs was included in the fare costs. The two certs were not returned to my account. I don't know if it will work the same way with a CASNext certificate.

Last year. Same scenario. Departure delayed one day and first two ports cancelled. First port visited..Halifax..rained and there was residual damage from the storm. Still enjoyed the cruise. And the extra day in Quebec City.

Thanks for the great read. Look forward to reading more.

Alaskan Cruise vacation Day 2
They have a special line for us priority folks for check in and a guide who takes us through a special tunnel and voila, we board the Bliss and it is beautiful!
Hey, I figured out you were on the Bliss! That is one of my favorite ships! Looks like you had a great time!

I booked from NCL the embarkation train from Anchorage airport to Seward for boarding Norwegian Jewel. My cruise depart 14 August. I have some question:
- when i receive the ticket for this train? It's a excursion to board the ship so, i need to receive ticket in advance.
-It' s possible to choise the seat on the train? I like to have a window forward facing seat.
-When i make check in online for my cruise last available boarding time slot to chose is 4:30-5:00 PM. The train arrive in Seward at 6 PM i hope they wait for all people arriving by train.
There is no ticket. They will have your name on a list. You basically check-in at the train terminal at the airport. We requested a front facing seat. The response was that all seats provided a great view. However, I was assigned a front facing seat. I believe they gave us a wrist band to wear. On the train you will be seated at a table with other passengers facing you. This is a dedicated cruise train... you get off the train and walk to a building for security check and then on the ship.

Hmmm. Well, that's definitely an Alaska cruise, and it is in 2023 (I assume.) So I'm pretty sure the agent is mistaken. Assuming you meet the other requirements (date of booking, cabin class, current Latitudes member) I'd call and talk to a different agent. Unfortunately, different agents often give different answers.
I am within the promo period. The only think I can think that might be disqualifying is that I used a 50% off coupon. I wish they had a list instead of searching through the cruises.

@Socalev When did you book? Could you have maybe booked before the bonus point promotion started? I'm not sure when it started but maybe someone knows?
I booked 28 Feb 23. I looked at the terms and I am within the promo period. I'm going to have to call the CAS agent again.

Can anyone confirm receiving the discount for May 22 Sailing on Jewel from Seward to Vancouver? I don't see the code on my invoice and the CAS agent says it is not available on that sailing.

Has anyone recently had any success changing staterooms (same category) after final payment on a casino at seas booking? Looking to move locations on the ship.
My recollection is I have done this before several years ago with CAS, but I was just told by a CAS agent that it was not possible. Even though numerous staterooms in same category as my reserved stateroom are available for purchase, the agent informed me that all CAS rooms were sold out for the particular cruise so I could not move rooms.
Any insight greatly appreciated as to whether this sounds plausible, or I need to call again to find a more knowledgeable agent.
Thanks in advance. .
I had the same experience. The CAS agent was unable to move me to a different room. Said there were none available. It was an enclosed balcony and not a good location. I eventually won my bid to a higher category.

On March 3, 2023, I booked a 8 day cruise on Jewel for April 23 using that sweet, sweet 50% off AK promo, but I don’t see any latitudes codes on the upper right corner of my confirmation docs. I self booked through their website, and have FAS though I declined the drinks. My latitudes number appears in the body of the confirmation.
Do I need call and ask them to apply the promo? I think I met all the requirements Bird listed above. Thanks.
THREE EXTRA LATITUDES POINTS PER NIGHT SELECT CRUISES
Booking Window: February 1 - March 31, 2023 11:59 pm EST
Applicable sailings: 3+ night Alaska & Europe sailings in 2023 on the following ships only:-
Alaska Cruises
- Norwegian Jewel
- Norwegian Spirit
I booked Jewel from Seward to Vancouver. I also didn’t notice codes on my rez. I asked CAS agent and she said it was not eligible for triple points. I looked through various links on lat and terms and conditions page but still not clear about eligible points. But when I clicked through email link I was shown a filtered list of cruises and only the Vancouver to Seward sailing were shown. (I need a shrug emoticon here).

I am upgrading internet package to unlimited. Can you text and make wifi calls with that speed or do I have to upgrade to premium? I really won’t be streaming Netflix not sure i need to purchase premium to keep in touch with home and post pics and videos on Facebook.
I was able to make a wifi call with the unlimited internet pkg. No charge from either the ship or my phone provider.

This last point is where I need clarification. If my wifi always has to be on, will apps open in the background of my phone use up regular wifi minutes while trying to always be available for a family member to message me using the NCL app. How does that part work?
With the NCL app, two people with the app can message (or call) each other at any time. It will not use up your internet minutes. To use your internet minutes, open the browser on your phone and log into the account you set up. There is a timer attached to those minutes. Be sure to log off so you don't accidentally use up all the minutes.

A google search found this site:
This link is for the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver location.

I just read about new option NCL is introducing to allow real time rebidding. Gives you the option to up your bid. Sorry, I can’t link to the post.
-
For one cruise a few years ago, all my decline emails came through at approximately the same time. 11:12, 11:16, 11:30; and 1:16. I know you can't re-bid.

I was upgraded a few days ago. Went from a Haven Forward-Facing Penthouse with Balcony (HG) to a Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Large Balcony (H5). I bid the minimum. The H5 cabin was pricing about $2k more than the HG so I received a great cabin at a great discount. This will be our first time in a Haven!

Yes, I just looked at google maps. Change to street view. There is a picture of the parking lot. Looks very easy.
