  1. I will be sailing on the Coquest with my daughters and family in two weeks. We have a party of six set for early dining. My other daughter was late making her cabin reservation and was not able to secure early dining. She is in a cabin by herself. Any advice on how we can get her changed to early dining with us. When we called Carnival they said that early dining is full and to speak to someone when we get on the ship. We've tried to change dining before like this and it doesn't work. Any suggestions on what to do.  We are traveling with three children who are use to eating early and I really don't want to change to late or my time.  If it would help we are all gold and I'm platinum.  What to do???

  2. I sure hope everyone sailing on the Jade has a better time than we did on the January 3rd cruise. Dismantled slide, closed pool, skipped Key West, left port late (no bon voyage) and returned to Tampa early, closed Casino early several times, on and on. Everything you thought you signed up for and paid for was changed or taken away. Sailed on 5 other NCL ships and had an incredible time but this was miserable. I realize you can't control weather but some of these things were inexcusable. I'm definitely rethinking my future cruises. Good luck.

I was there and I completely agree with you!

  3. I too received the same form letter about the Jade sailing of 1/3/2016. It didn't even respond to the issues I contacted them about.

They can call dismantling a slide in the middle of a cruise normal maintenance, but we all know better.

This is really disappointing to me because I have been singing their praises to so many people after cruising on the Escape and the Getaway.

    .

We were on the Jade for the Jan 3 cruise too, with three children. Not good! My daughter and I both wrote to NCL about all the issues, the removal of the slide and closing the children's pool. I also think there might have been an illness on the ship too, as my daughter, her husband, and all three of her children became ill while on the cruise. They had vomit bags located by all the elevators. I came across a lot of people complaining about illness too. I still haven't received a response from Norwegian since I contacted them. I have been on the Getaway and the Escape, which I absolutely loved. We had two balcony cabins, UDP, and the UBP, so we spent quite a bit of money for a one port cruise.

  5. I was on the Sunshine last year in December. This is a small ship that has been refurbished. The main lobby area is very small.

I also took my family of 11 on the Norwegian Getaway, which is about the same as the Escape, and they absolutely loved it. There is so much to do. You will be so happy with your choice.

I'm just a few points away from Platinum on Carnival, and unfortunately not loving them right now. Have a great time!

  6. We will be on the Carnival Glory in a couple of weeks. Traveling with three children 7, 6, and 3. I was interested in Playa Mia. It isn't offered on our ship as an excursion, but I did find it online. Has anyone bought tickets through their website and is it easy to get to their meeting place from where our ship will dock. I know that their are two spots where the ships dock in Cozumel. Also do they mail your tickets or do you print them off online?

  7. We always take umbrella strollers for the grandkids. My daughter usually gets a Chicco or Jeep brand. They hold up very well. The last cruise we just went out and bought an inexpensive one and it didn't hold up very well. It's so handy on the ship and ports. It's a lot of walking for the little ones.

  8. Last week we upgraded 4 cabins to a mini suite guarantee on the Getaway.

When I checked the mini suites today there is only one left to sell.

We haven't received a room assignment yet. Is it possible that they

have been assigned to us but we just can't see them yet.

  9. I've spoken to my TA, who has spoken to NCL. They told her that if they tried to make the switch now I could lose the assignments we already have. We are very satisfied with our cabins. I just wondered if anyone was successful in making a switch of the names within their group of cabins either at the pier or on the ship. Thanks

  10. My family is going on the Getaway on Nov 22. We received our guarantee cabin assignments. Three of the cabins are on deck 13 and one is on deck 10. I will have two of my daughters children in my cabin, ages 6 and 7, and my other daughter is traveling with just her boyfriend. My question is, has anyone switched cabins within their group once they are at the pier. I would like to trade my cabin with my daughter and her boyfriend so the grandkids will be closer to their parents.
