If I saw this sooner I would have told you that ON AIR does have a bar because I was commiserating with a bartender who has to work there and she told me about some truly awful singing she is forced to endure. Did you find out if it is only open during Karaoke hours?

I believe it was open for us and there was no karaoke going on. ON AIR was the only bar I didn't make it to as I U-Turned after Schooner and went back to the casino to donate some money to Royal  XD

  2. For anyone planning something similar, this ended up being what we went with...

2:15 pm      Olive or Twist (Deck 14 Midship)

2:40 pm      Sky Bar (Deck 12 Midship)
3:05 pm      Plaza Bar + Snacks at The Windjammer (Deck 11 Aft)
3:35 pm      Squeeze (Deck 11 Midship)
3:50 pm      Pool Bar (Deck 11 Midship)
4:10 pm      Solarium Bar (Deck 11 Forward)
4:30 pm      Hoof & Claw Pub (Deck 5 Midship)
4:55 pm      Vintages (Deck 5 Midship)
    5:15 pm      R Bar (Deck 5 Midship)
5:40 pm      Boleros (Deck 4 Midship)
6:00 pm      Casino Bar (Deck 4 Midship)
6:20 pm      Schooner Bar (Deck 4 Midship)
6:45 pm      On Air Club (Deck 3 Midship)

The timing worked out perfectly. Folks came and went at their leisure and only the most bold of us went all the way from start to finish!

I originally has a slightly more logical/efficient walking path, but had to re-organize to make sure the Windjammer would be open for some snacks at our Plaza Bar stop. I later found out this change was unnecessary, FYI.

    Cheers to all!

  3. This move is odd. I was on MJ in November for 10 nights. I felt the Viking Crown to be SEVERELY underused overall. It's a great space that didn't seem to be used for ANYTHING other than the nightly Diamond/Suite event. I'm not much of a DL person as I always have a drink package, but on a ship without a SL/CL/DL or any concierge, I felt this was a nice compromise. Plus the Loyalty Ambassador and staff seemed to really take pride in the nightly event. I trust RC will soon realize this event is worth the minimal expense and reinstate it. Doesn't hurt for us to send some polite emails to remind them how much this event meant to us.

Just my 1/5 of a dime.

I am still trying to get over wife being traumatized by a naked man and then hubby taking pictures of same naked man and then sending "inappropriate" pictures to RCCL executives.   I can't imagine the looks on the executives' faces when opening up their emails to pictures of a naked man. Depending on how explicit the pictures were and where he sent them, good thing OP didn't get in trouble himself.

    THANK YOU !!!

I would imagine the naked gentleman was not in the best of health mentally and/or physically. It's also a third world country with severely lacking healthcare. Does the OP go around this hometown taking pictures of ill homeless people also or is just when on vacation?

I've seen that on Voyager/Freedom class ships, but unless it's been changed it was in the Sorrento's area on Majesty.

When were you last on MJ? In November there were 2 soft serve machines on the pool deck just opposite the forward pool bar. They were manned by a crew member most of the time. I never noticed machines anywhere else on board.
