You were lucky to be on Encore; she seems to be of all the ships at present the best staffed, and therefore just like the old Seabourn we love.
One or two of the others have had and are still having problems with enough and enough trained staff which is a shame. They will get there eventually, but in the meantime it is not helping with the Seabourn good name, especially for anyone new to the line.

Thanks. This is all reassuring. I just felt concerned when there had been more activity on roll calls on the two other occasions I have travelled solo with Azamara and NCL.Also there was no formal night on Azamara and I know Silversea put more emphasis on this which is a bit more daunting.

Thanks Keith. There was not a roll call so I then came across this site which has removed some of my concerns.

Thanks for all the tips. I am new to Bridge and understand there will be tuition on board so that should help. I have been to some of the stops before and have used a private tour company for the houseboat trip In Kerala which was very good.

Thanks .That is reassuring.I look forward to meeting you at the solo travellers gathering.I have been in other cruises on my own and have arranged excursions with fellow travellers but that has usually been done before I set off.

Thanks for the information. Is it usual for passengers on Silversea to use the Cruise trips? On previous cruises I have linked up on privately arranged trips?

Sailing on Silverseas for the first time I am disappointed to see that the minimum number does not seem to have been reached for the Silver Spirit cruise on 3 December. Since I will be travelling on my own I am concerned that this means there is less opportunity to meet up with other people and share excursions. Any advice from seasoned Silver seas cruisers?
Tips on how to survive the “new”Seabourn
in Seabourn Cruise Line

Have just caught up with this topic and did have a cruise on
Have just caught up with this topic and am pleased to see that my experience on Sojourn in June is not replicated on other ships. This was the second leg of Sojourn's return to the sea and it felt like it should have been used as a training voyage in many ways. Although the Cruise Director did a splendid job there were service problems that I had not experienced before on Seabourn. I was reluctant to go on another Seabourn trip but had decided that I would try another ship and as it happens I have booked for anther trip this time on Encore . From the reviews it appears that that should present less problems so I am hopeful. I am a solo travel so appreciate when there are hosted tables but these were not possible on Sojourn in June.
