Actually talking about black and white night reminds me ...
On our first cruise I somehow thought black and white night was a casual night. When I realised it was the second formal night I was glad I had a black dress but I didn’t have anything white. The ship had one of their ‘table stall’ sales and they had some white pashminas for £7.99. I couldn’t decide, then decided to go back and get one - all the white ones had gone!!
So- woman’s logic - I ended up buying a black and white necklace and earrings for £25 😂
The amount of dresses tops etc i am finding and wanting to buy is enormous, but common sense kicking in and i am restraining myself. But once cruising restarts£££££. Can't wait.

I’m feeling exactly the same. Although we do socialise at home quite a lot in normal times I almost always wear trousers and smart tops. Cruises are the only times I wear dresses these days so I have lots of those and especially the long glittery ones that are gathering dust in the wardrobe. I’m reluctant to have a clear out at the moment as I’m still hopeful of a return to normality sometime.

I am looking on line at present thinki g that would look nice, but cant justify buying as no cruises to wear it on.
-
Is it just me or is anyone else looking at cruise clothes especially the more formal wear and cocktail dresses etc ,and thinking will i ever wear them again. They are not suitable for most other holidays, we don't socialise much outside holidays.

Yes its to somewhere warm, miami to roatan, new orleans. Either going to be economical and just use fcc or splash out a bit, thats my thi nking behind sea view or de luxe.🍸🤣

Thank you for your reply i just cannot decide ,probably midships its a transatlantic so not sure if balcony required. I do not know a lot about p o having 4 cruises cancelled so am relying on cruise critic advice. We are getting to the point where dh reluctant to fly. P o now appears to be best suited for us. Also apologies for posting same question twice.

Thinking of booking 35 nights on Ventura for 2023 cannot decide on cabin, down to choice of deluxe balcony or sea view. Grateful for any advice and recommendations.

Thank you. Not a lot of difference from 2022 worldie

Anyone know the itinerary for 2023 world cruise please.
-
Anyone been to a nice bar within short distance from honolulu cruise port, taxi or walking ,to watch sunset and have a nice cocktail

Do the pedicure and manicure myself. Hate the feel of false nails.

Thank you for your replies, has made me think and consider the pros and cons more. I also prefer new world wines though i am open to all tastes. The restrictions on choice is now my main concern, and yes all overpriced . Also i find the rules on taking a litre on first boarding to be very restrictive, wine doesnt normally come in litre bottles boxed wine is , in my view, not as good. Also same restrictions for a week or a world cruise

Anyone purchased the commodore wine package and did you consider it value for money.

So far only done 3 week cruises but never gained weight, try to keep up with gymn workouts but i eat and drink more or less what i want. Thinking of strategies for upcoming 2022 world cruise, ive always been slim and intend to stay that way.(i hope)

When are 2023 cruises released, to possibly use fcc.

Cruising is the only chance to wear nice gowns cocktail dresses. I love celebrity and like to dress nice. On holland america some guests dressed as if they were straight from farm work,we dont cruise holland america anymore.

I love going down by coach, the ease of giving them the case & not seeing it again until it's at your cabin makes it a stress free transition.
Last couple of times we've gone by coach we've even had time for a stop off in Winchester en-route because traffic's been that smooth, only ever had one trip where traffic's been bad & then we'd got peace of mind the cruise ship wasn't going to leave without us.Have looked into coach prices etc but cant find infomation about times of pickups where comfort breaks are. Also how many pickups before ours, which would be liverpool.

Could you not send a case or two ahead? Is it The Baggage Forwarding Company, or similar who do this.
Trying to decide what would be best. Have flown to southampton from manchester as part of package and also train from north west to southampton. Train was a bit awkward one change and handling cases. Have looked into sending cases ahead, will probably have more to manage as a world cruise. Then again may still be in similar situation but have to be optimistic and plan

We are also deciding on travel to southampton for world cruise january 22. Would be interested in coach travel, sounds very tempting not having to handle luggage once on coach. Unsure of allowances though.
-
Anyone had luggage delivered to the ship i.e. a big 20 kilo suitcase day of sailing. Specifically to southampton.
Anyone been onboard Azura since the restart?
