  1. That's awesome! Sorry I saw this so late - usually get no responses on here. Hopefully we will run into one another. We love Bermuda - wish they didn't take away the right to marry, but that's a different subject. We also enjoyed the Summit last year! Looking forward to boarding in just a few days!

I have no idea what is wrong with me...

Guess I need this vacation really bad. I keep telling everyone I am going on my cruise this month. Every time I realize the error, my heart stops, I gasp for air and mutter things my mother would soap my mouth out for...🤬

I am not leaving for another month. 😭

My cruise does not start until May 27th.

I am sorry I will miss you. I hope you have a really nice time.

Post a note as to how the cruise turned out for you.

I am trying to do some research for a LGBTQ friendly snorkel/catamaran excursion. I would really like to give my $ to support the LGBTQ/Allies community.

  2. I booked the Wind Spirit cruise for Tahiti. The ship leaves Papeete Papeete at midnight on Friday, March 31, 2017 and is due back in port at 10 am on Friday April 7, 2017.

Understandable, I am finding there are not many options for the LAX to PPT fight times and days. AA, Delta and Qantas seem to be the only airlines that service this remote location. The flight times also appears to alternate every other day. Their PPT arrivals and departures are either early morning or late at night.

Would some of you please share how you arranged your flights?

Did you have to stay pre or post cruise?

If you arrived early (5 am) or left at night (11 pm), what did you do with your personal items before boarding or checking in? Especially, if you did not have a pre or post stay.

I appreciate any assistance in arranging the logistics of my travel plans.

  3. Yikes! Way TMI! Oh, and please always include a courtesy flush when using the Elite Lounge lavatory.

When I first saw that comment regarding BM, I thought what the heck. How does this kind of subject always end up at the dinner table?

I would hope I get a warm wash cloth from the valet when I am done.

  4. Does having a suite give you coupons?

I am a Diamond member and should get additional perks through coupons. Regardless of the fact that I have a suite or not.

There are some of my family members who have a suite as well. They are traveling RCCL for the first time.

I was wondering if they will receive any coupons for things such as laundry, drink discounts, internet package discount and so forth.

  5. I know it has been a while since your 2011 Med cruise.

However, I was wondering how you ended up liking the room.

I have cabin 1233 on the Solstice reserved for the August 23rd Alaska cruise.

Did you like the room? Was there anything special with the odd shape?

  6. Sometimes I think people can be rude because of sterotyping. For example people could think that someone with a disability takes advantage of the system by claiming they are disabled. They hear of one such case so they automatically assume it is true in all cases. It's not the first time that has happened to various segments of our society.

There are all types, degrees and levels of disabilities. I for one have always looked very fit and seem very abled bodied. My mobility for short distances is pretty good. However, I have always had problems with muscle strength decreasing at a very rapid rate. I have to keep a cane with me since I do not know when my legs could start to give out. Muscle fatigue.

I believe people just think that chair bound people are lazy and do not deserve respect. Unless you are actually missing a limb, they maybe thinking you are just abusing the system. I also have an HC license plate but I've try not to use it as much as possible. I try to walk as much as I can and use the stairs when conditions are safe.

So far, I have been very fortunate to stay out of a wheel chair. But, I have an understanding for what someone in a wheelchair must go through, so I hold the door open for them. I will also let them in the elevator first and so forth.

Take heart in knowing there is at least one non-rude person in the world looking out for you! :o

  7. I've been wondering what TP stands for...

According to the Internet Slang site in J's posting above, here is the definition. Which I am sure is not what's being referred to here on this board.

TP — "Town Portal", in Diablo and Diablo II, a magical scroll for getting back into town i.e. safety. Pronounced "teepee", and may occur as a verb ("hey, TP me!")

I think this refers to an AD&D Role playing game.
