  1. Hi, We're interested in anyone who has stayed in one of the rear facing balconies on the Ecstasy. We love the rear of the ship and think it would be cool to be able to sit on our balcony and watch the wake from the rear.

Can anyone tell us about it or who has a few pics to share.

We just booked one for March. I came here and searched for aft extended balcony ecstasy and a lot of pics and advice popped up. I googled as well and found YouTube videos. March 2015 we had a Jr Suite on the Verandah deck and loved it but the balcony was tiny. We spent a lot of time on the balcony with room service and loved sitting out there and watching the ship pull in/leave port. The moon and stars were also beautiful.

  2. Thanks Indiana71 and SunnyDayGirl! Today I narrowed down to two maxi skirts with 2 tops each. A knee length skirt with tshirt, blue Ralph Lauren cocktail dress. I have sandals, one pair of flats and athletic shoes. Have shorts to figure out now. I will take pics on the ship of what I wear. [emoji2]

  3. You can use these minutes for your phone/tablet/laptop beyond the hub on the ship. Carnival has quite a good informative section on their FAQ site. I don't think Skype is going to go well on a cruise ship satellite connection. It's quite different from a technical perspective. Once in port it's a different story, we will use wifi at a local place to Facetime our son and call to check on our dog. We added a international package to one phone for emergencies. I have no experience just what I've read and researched.

  4. We are also in a jr suite on the Fantasy and I picked it due to location. I think it looks like a great place to be! I like being high up and in a section with just 30+ rooms. I know it might not matter but I'll know more when I get back in a few weeks!

  5. Will the new menus be introduced on the Fantasy by OCt 1st? Has it been announced yet? Is there a link to the current 5 day cruise menu or a link to the new 5 day cruise American menu?

We are having a hard time deciding if the Cheers! Package is worth it. I may drink 4 or 5 drinks a day, MAX. My husband is a beer drinker and could drink about 8 to 10 on a sea day and may 4 or 5 on a port day. I'm nervous that we are going to be bored on the ship and will end sitting around, playing cards, sipping drinks. I think we should get it, but it would be $500 just to drink! That's a hard pill to swallow. We have kids so we won't be hammered. We do have In-laws coming with us who would happily keep an eye on our littles though. What is your experience?

Recent Fantasy travelers, where is a good spot to set up and play cards? I'm thinking the very top deck. The kids can minigolf while we play. Does it get really crowded up top?

Hi! Since no one has answered yet I'll give what little I have. There is a really good website by someone from these boards that has links to all the menus including room service. If you google carnival fantasy menus you'll see the results and on the first page is a link that starts with Z. I just looked at them last night.

I'm not sure about the Cheers package except I've read all the conversations about it and an actual breakdown someone posted on how much to drink to break even. 8 to 10 a day basically sounds like you'd be close to breaking even. I hope someone pipes in and offers some help.

I'll find out soon where to play cards because I'll be on the ship in a few weeks! I would imagine the top deck can be very windy at times but I'm sure you could easily find a spot.

Hope you have a great cruise!

  6. Does anyone own a fitbit and have experience with the new wifi package on the Breeze? I really like to keep track of my fitbit and make sure I sync all my data with my fitbit app daily onto my iPhone. Now technically this isn't really "social media" related, but does anyone have any experience on if this app with work on the social media plan or if you have to upgrade to a more expensive plan do do this? I would be willing to pay for a more expensive plan, maybe the step up, as I would probably use it for other things as well.

Your Fitbit syncs wirelessly through Bluetooth to your iphone app. Turn off your bluetooth on your iphone and try to sync, you'll see an error message.

Hope that helps. I have a Fitbit Flex that I wear everywhere.

  7. You may wish to try the free water on board. Then you won't have to lug the bottled water and also save $$$ since on a price per gallon basis bottled water is twice as expensive as gasoline now and also costs more than a gallon of milk.

I realize some people have developed an affinity for the bottled stuff but the ship water is probably as pure if not purer than the bottling plant's and certainly better than out of the tap at home.

I'm glad to read this. I was wondering if I could skip bringing water. I'd rather just bring Dh's cokes and not lug water on additionally.

  8. Dezertspray, thanks for bringing this review to the front!

jonboy, can you tell me how warm the water was in both ports? I'm going to be taking my nephews to the exact same beaches next April, and I'm hoping the water will be warm enough to play in. Being from New England, April is too cold to swim here! TIA!!

I'm searching all through the forum for cruises in April and found a few. This one has our itinerary and the beaches we plan to lounge on! And we have three pound pets:)

  9. dezertspray,

Thanks for the kind words. About the day passes, for the Grand Lucayan we didn't purchase in advance, just bought them at the stand near the hotel on the way out to the beach. They have a lot of room and we got there pretty early. For the BCH we did purchase in advance thru Resort For a Day dot com.

Hope you have a great time.

Thank you for your help and quick response!

  10. I love reading this review because we are going this March and the same ports. After much research we also plan to do Grand Lucayan Resort and British Colonial Hilton. Did you pre-purchase your passes? If so how did you do it? We are going to be docked an extra long day in Nassau due to our Live show so basically plan to do a walking tour in Nassau in the morning and then spend time at BCH the rest of the day. We are docked a basic 8-5 day day in Freeport so just plan to do the beach at Grand Lucayan and after seeing your pictures these plans are absolutely cemented! Those pics in Freeport are absolutely awesome. I love love the Lighthouse pics in Nassau. I plan to try and be in the same place on the ship to take the same pics. Thank you for your help!
